Huge thanks to everyone in the Thursday night raid who made my first visit to Icecrown Citadel outstanding. Everything went a lot smoother than I anticipated (except for Saurfang the Jumpy).
I still hate the blood princes, though.
Now I have the pleasant problem of spending all my money on gems and enchants for my new gear!

Just a heads up, we appreciate people posting a message if they can't come or are going to be late. In order for raids to get off, people need to communicate status changes, hopefully in a timely manner. If guild members are no shows and don't post anything, raids might not get off leaving 9 other people who cleared their schedule with a wasted night. If this becomes a habit with people, we'll re-examine their raid status with the guild. Please be respectful and let someone know if something comes up.
I know the Dreamwalker and Sindy fights, I will have to research some LK stuff.
Anyone know the plan for next week? Do we take holiday time off? or Do we raid cause everyone is off? Not sure what the guild normally does.

Minor details. We will kill that dragon with our awesome heals. 
On a more serious note, we don't have an optimum group scheduled for Sunday to get another LK kill.
To be perfectly honest, I'm inclined to give Chuda Devington's slot on Sunday (whether or not Dev shows up) for the simple reason that BadKen/Chuda *did* show up and that he put in some serious/solid effort on Thursday to help the raid, whereas Devington was a complete no-show and we had to scramble to replaced him.
I can't speak for every Officer, but for the majority of us, no-shows w/o any explanation leave a very sour taste. As Belias stated, you're basically giving a big middle finger to 9 other GWJ'ers which is completely unacceptable.
People who show up and put in an honest effort get 100% of my support. I don't care if you make mistakes (we all do), if you show up and make some effort, you're absolutely A-OK in my book.
Getting back to Sunday. We need to clear Dreamwalker and Sindy before we can try the Lich King. We have 3hrs scheduled. I'm quite confident we can dispatch Dreamwalker and Sindy quickly.
From a brutally honest perspective, we don't have great odds for a LK kill on Sunday, but I can tell you, if people show up and are serious we do have a shot at it!
I know for certain that the Officers will do everything they can to facilitate a kill. We really do want to see as many people in the guild achieve a Lich King kill as is possible.
If everyone is willing to pay attention, think, adapt and put in solid effort, we *absolutely can* destroy the Lich King. It's up to you if you really want it to happen. Do your research, come prepared.
All of the Officers have a LK kill now. You might think that another LK kill doesn't matter to the Officer crew, but you'd be absolutely dead wrong. The Officers can only do so much, it's really up to you. If you come with a half-assed attitude, it won't happen. If you come with a positive attitude, energy, knowledge of the fight and a strong desire to turn Arthas into a pile of slag, we absolutely *can* get another LK kill on Sunday.
Show up, be enthusiastic, be prepared, be aware and we will get another Lich King kill this week.
Speaking of giving fair warning: the periodic short disconnects I've been having on my DSL line have been happening more frequently in the last few days. I've got a trouble report in with the support team, but I have no idea how soon they will be able to sort it out. In the meantime, it means that I'll likely have what amounts to large lag spikes a few times an hour. Should be okay for Dreamweaver and Sindy, but it definitely could be a bit of a liability on LK.
I'm not sure what else to say. But I apologize to those that were in the Raid and I was a no show. I need to do further research on how guild raid events work before throwing my name in the pile. It was not my intention of blowing anyone off. I sent a pm to MikeMac but felt I should also apologize to the rest of the guild.
It is my responsibility to figure out how things are scheduled and I jumped into it without knowing how the system works.

I'm not entirely sure what to think about my post up thread from Saturday morning @ 5:21am?! This was the tail end of a rather over enthusiastic Friday night bender (anyone want to guess how enjoyable my Saturday was?). I don't even remember making the post, but I'm certainly fascinated to see it was mostly coherent. Extra fascinated because I'm fairly certain that had I belched near open flame, they'd still be scraping up pieces of me today.
I went a wee bit off the deep end there, if you don't know the process I guess that's our fault too, it's not like we explain it anywhere. Basically the initial post gets updated sometime late Monday or early Tuesday with a schedule.
Sorry for the booze fueled rant and strange ... pep talk? Yikes.

I believe the posts above serve as a notice to GWJers. I happen to take too much for granted in the fact that I have been running with GWJ for a fair number of years now, but not everyone has. I appologize to those for not making things as clear as they can be for the new folks and certainly want to make sure they are welcome as we mix new and old together as we go into cata. I have said this before and will again, the people of this guild are good people. I believe the posts above actually show that concern. Thanks for your responses and I want to make sure everyone knows they are welcome to raid in GWJ. Communication is key, even if we don't always see eye to eye, but we will have that discussion with respect for all and move on to make sure everyone is enjoying the game in our guild. I continue to look forward to gwj alliance making waves as we go into and proceed through cata.
