Can someone educate me on who was in that picture they gave Daryl? I have no clue what that was all about. Was it the guy on the road that ended up the zombie at the end? I have no memory of him with Daryl at all.

Glenn with his head exploded.

On Talking Dead they said it was a pic of Glenn. When I was watching though, the photo was never clear enough to see what it was.

At the end of the first episode they took polaroids of Glenn and Abraham. I think we can assume it was Glenn as Daryl was the catalyst for his death.

Yeah, I only figured it out from Talking Dead. I even used the XB1's zoom feature to get a better look, and saw nothing.

I found most of the episode interesting and well done, but some of it I think they tried too hard and missed. The picture is one example where they just failed to make it clear. Also, all the staring Dwight did at the zombies being put on the fence. Figuring out what the hell they were even doing out there and why he was so focused on it was kind of annoying. Zombie goes up the pole, zombie goes down the pole, repeat.

In the last scene you see Dwight staring at the guy he shot. I think they are there as a reminder to everyone that if you step out of line you will be put up there or be on the crew who has to put them up there.

That's awesome! I'm pretty sure I could spend an eternity in hell listening to that song though. Is it just me?

Yes, yes it is. I'd go berserk after about 3 repetitions. It made me really appreciate just how strong Daryl is.

It's the banjo! Come on! What you guys aren't seeing is that it's the song that gets Daryl through this.

Well I don't feel so bad about not understanding the photograph now. Wish they had made it clearer. Would have had more of an impact.

Well they closed out the season slightly better, but only by using last week's episode as the bar...

It really seems like they're just recycling the same old storyline they've been using for the past few seasons.

Group finds good place. (Rick gets hopeful)
Good place doesn't last (Rick gets upset)
Group gets split up (Rick cries)
Group reunites to fight back against whatever ruined the good place. (Rick gets determined)

Isn't that the entire show? IMO that got old in the first season.

I have to admit, the ending did get me a little teary-eyed, and at the same time grinning from ear to ear. Daryl's reaction was really touching.

I was expecting one of them to suddenly get shot before the credits rolled.

That's pretty accurate.

Anyone still watching through season 7 that believes that is accurate at all is a complete moron.

Luckily, this is the age of idiocracy. There are plenty of web sites out there putting this perspective out there because it generates clicks. Unfortunately, it is turning the masses of TV viewers, during an amazing period of storytelling on TV, into trolls that think there is more value in poking holes in shows than trying to understand them and discuss them on their own terms.

Just another of the many areas the internet has failed us. Life goes on...

Well gee Jayhawker. Tell us how you really feel?

I guess you can consider me a moron:). I thought that was pretty accurate, to my experience, for the overall arc of a season(maybe not for each episode). The show is a real rollercoaster, but the show(much like the comic book) usually leaves me feeling at the end of the season that I was just trolled.

Yep. But then I stopped watching in season 2 so I'm definitely not a moron.

Season 2 is still my favorite:)

The way Daryl asks: "why did you go?" Was heartbreaking.

So...

Spoiler:

...seems like Sasha might have just bought the farm. Wonder if this means Sonequa-Martin Green gets formally announced as the lead on Star Trek Discovery this week.

Yeah...

Spoiler:

... the main party will find her in the final assault on the Saviors, about to turn, and have to take her out after she gives a nice parting soliloquy.

And there, that's my series finale. No way that's ever getting topped.
