The CNET author sells it as a "serious horsepower" for 3D rig but the video card is low end. If you wanted it to be a gaming rig you would really need to add $200-300 for a good video card. That's assuming the power supply even has the appropriate power and cabling to add the card.

Terrible odds on that being the case.

And it is a 460w psu to boot. It would be one thing if it was a premium brand but I'd wager it is not.

And with all of those ports, you may run into issues quickly.

Yeah, but I already have a GTX 660 and a 500w Corsair PSU that I could transfer. My current rig is only running a Core 2 Quad with my mobo maxxed out at 4 GB RAM, so by Frankensteining the two, I'd have a pretty sweet rig.

Ah, but it's a moo point anyways, really can't justify the cost right now; my wife would rather I spend $600 on patio upgrades, and it's not like my current rig is weak.

I ended up having to replace my video card because it kept overheating, even on relatively non-graphics-intensive games. I ended up picking up this guy:

Right now it comes with two free Steam keys, and they're pretty good ones, too. I got Hitman Absolution, and Dirt 3 downloading as we speak. When I bought this card, they had discounted down to $169, which was a really good deal, but it looks like it's come back up to the $200 mark since.
