League Of Legends Catch All

OK, I've only played annie so far. I really dig the powers, particularly the cone of flame. I seem to be gravitating towards the support role, but had a good number of kills and assists with her. Is their another character that acts as an aggressive support character that I should check out? I'm still learning the nuances but favor AOE attacks that damage the minions.

Might want to give Kassadin a try.

For AOE:
Force Pulse (Active): Kassadin draws energy from spells cast in his vicinity. Upon charging up, Kassadin can use Force pulse to damage and slow enemies in a cone in front of him.

Riftwalk (Active): Kassadin teleports to a nearby location dealing damage to nearby enemy units. Additionally, multiple Riftwalks in a short period of time cause them to cost additional mana and deal additional damage.

Support:
Null Sphere (Active): Kassadin fires an ethereal bolt of void energy, dealing damage and silencing the target for the duration.

Sivir is also an aggresive support character. Can be deadly!

Fact: If Nathanial gives you any link ever, it WILL be porn... butt porn.

Edit: Just went 9-0-4 with Ashe, carried my team and feeling pretty awesome about it

Well, after an 8+ defeat streak due to feeding teammates (which I believe marks the longest loss streak of my life, in any game, sport, or pursuit of any kind), I finally decided to try Master Yi. This guy just gets absurd if you let him build. What happens when you have one teammate who starts afk and then feeds, another that feeds and then goes afk, and another that spends all game pinging the map and walking in circles? Well, if you're solo'ing Yi, you win anyway.

Then the next game I did the same thing and wound up 20-3-3. I think I've found my favorite character for this patch.

Horrible, horrible memories of unstoppable Crinkle Oaks are flooding into my head. Could this be worse?

I dont have a problem going up against Yi if i have the right character for it. Who i hate is Twitch. f*cking mother f*cker Twitch is...

Well, no, nothing beats the original Oak ownage. But I did just win one with two teammates AFK for the entire round, during which time I said nothing but Arnold lines, which no one got but I didn't care. They just had to bend over and take it.

If you like Arnold lines then try Sion.

In the solo queue, teams full of carries with a ganker or two fricken dominate. Kind of takes the fun out of playing the mages, because the non-premade matches go to the late-late game almost every time, and there are always absurdly high health carries running about feeding on all of the weaker players. Every time I get some early domination going with Veigar (or another caster) I'm unable to get my team to push together in the mid-game, the opposing carries pick off the singletons farming the wrong lanes, buy piles of health and defensive items, and then come back and steamroll us. Pubbies never grasp the concept of early bloomers and late bloomers, and failing to capitalize on the early advantage of burst damagers inevitably results in defeat.

So I gave up yelling at people and started playing Yi and winning matches again. AP was a good start at making casters more late-game viable, hopefully they'll think of some other stuff.

Yeah, my first game was started with Yi, and i liked him enough to buy him (with ingame-earned points, not real money).

I am starting to despise pub games because, at my low summoner level, I always seemed to get teamed with people who just like running straight at the enemy and their towers and end up getting killed 10-15 times.

My recommendation is Morgana. Early game you might net a few kills, but don't expect to be topping the charts. Most of my games end with scores like 0/1/10 or there about. Very effective support if you learn how to use her though, she can shut down a push, trap runners, and save allies. Late game, if you buy health boosting items, she can become very hard to kill.

I've played Morgana, and can see echoes of my play style in there. I also spent a lot of time with Twitch today. Holy Smoke is Twitch a monster!! I managed 14 kills 5 assists and 2 deaths on the practice levels, better than any of my previous games. I seem to click quite easily with him. I'm branching out to other champions at this point, so I'll keep posting my thoughts. Hopefully I'll be able to log some time online with y'all some night this week.

Good couple of games tonight. I still make some dumb mistakes, but it didn't seem too detrimental to our success.

We rolled 'em in fine style tonight! I'll look for you gents tomorrow, same bat time, same bat channel.

Past couple of days thats all i've had... Having a positive KDR didnt matter with the rest of the team just running to their deaths. Whats made it worse was there was a couple that we COULD'VE won if they had just not rushed out of tower range.

I has an insane game last night. I played as Fiddlesticks. By the end of the game, I believe my score was about 25-4-19. I had more money then I could spend. However, we still lost the game. Fiddlesticks is an amazing ganking character but has absolutely no pushing capabilities. It didn't help that my teammates had absolutely no desire to push lanes. Or the fact that we had a Master Yi on our team that went 0-25.

This is something that will never go away. I encountered it at level 1, I'm still encountering it at level 10, and I've encountered it playing games with Petriefied against very high level opponents. Higher level players won't die against towers, but you'll never get away from people who wind up feeding the other team.

Best way I've found to avoid it is 5 player arranged teams. At least then, if someone is doing poorly, you can help them learn and do better next time.

fun games tonight guys!

I'm finally venturing into the online pub shenanigans. A lot of how it goes seems to depend upon people understanding the nuances of teamwork. I've won and lost one game each. I did manage the most minion and building kills in both, though. Support, I am!

And I've added you all in game if I've been able to find your names.

When you get a team together this game's great. It can be pretty craptacular when pugging though. It sems like there's almost always at least someone either running straight into the towers or afking which will completely ruin the game unless both teams suck equally hard.

Worst. Shaco. Ever.
I think we would have had a legitimately better chance if he had just left the game.

To quote Monty Python - Jesus Christ!

That's a pretty horrid k/d ratio. At least their Ashe was doing her share of feeding as well.

At end game when everybody was at lvl 18, he was at 13 :\
It was so annoying, when everybody had like 3-6 levels on him instead of trying to level on minions and neutrals he kept attempting (and failing) to gank the enemy champions, where he'd just get killed right away.

I find it funny though that their Shaco did just about the exact opposite of ours.

Sorry for the double post but

Have you seen my bear Tibbers?

Edit: also does anybody know what the little numbers next to items means?
I've seen 1s by my equipment before and earlier I saw a couple of 2s on Nathanial's, neither of us knew what it was.

Also, also, a friend of mine was playing Shaco earlier with Latrine and he took a screenshot of the end game score.

Pretty funny in contrast to the other screenshot.

That was my first win in like 12 games. Thank you Narcist.

An enormous apology to all the unfortunate souls that got to "play" with me last night. Literally 4 mins into the game my Wife called me in Crisis Mode; she had a deadline due today (yay for lawyers) and her laptop died.

Since it twas the night before xmas, the entire city was gridlocked and she needed to get to the closest macstore since her Macbook pro's screen died. Apparently her 15" MBP has graphics card connection to Murphy's law that tends to melt [b]when you need to work during the holidays.

I was able to get back into the game in time to click to a 5-0 Surrender vote.

I find I'm getting better and better at not dieing. I also find myself getting more and more annoyed at people who feed. Got a Shaco today who had 11 deaths by 20 mins into the game. He kept rushing in and getting himself killed. He got better though after I yelled at him to stop feeding like an idiot, though I was pretty polite about it so maybe that's the key to fixing crappy players, don't be a dick.
