League Of Legends Catch All

I found out the other day that I'm much worse at League when drunk. It was bad... But fun

I've seen Dyni drunk in person. There's a good chance he's going to hug his computer and then spill his mouse.

We've done some drinking arams that have turned out fun. Sip for each death, tower, and finish it if you lose the game. I think there were more rules.

I'm also up for any sort of game. Be it ARAM, reverse draft, randoming for level 30's. Whatever is decided. As long as I can chase complex or raven around, or hide from them because they have the character advantage.

Ultimate Bravery could make for some more fair matchups.

Also Thursday could be interesting, according to a few of the PBE people the patches they are putting out are in a similar pattern to the ones before they release the bigger ones. Quick little hotfix patches. So we may see the big ice and scary monsters patch very soon and that may lead to crazy queue times.

Should I be honored or insulted to be mentioned with raven? Well since he is gold to my silver rank I guess I will go with honored, this time.

Sides Frate, you know you fear the hurricane taric.

Step 1: Mr. Gentlemen
Step 2: TSM

You feelin' it?

I fear the eve that gets to start sheen while I build a crucible on MF. The hurricane taric was just a biproduct.

It was nothing mentioned of skill, just trying to murder eachother when we are on opposite teams in arams, reguardless of the costs.

And I think you are messing some steps Cath, but i'll take the 1-0 start o_o

I have Friday off, so I will be leaguin' and liquorin' Thursday night. I'm down for crazy games, the goofier the better.

I refuse to smurf though, when I play Lux for the first time and get stomped I want there to be no excuses.

I'm down to do a 3v5, it seems fun as heck, like I'm a rare giraffe getting hunted down by big game hunters, but hark, plot twist, I have a robot hand that reels you in towards my fuzzy yet deadly horns. Grip and sip on the serengeti.

How does this Thursday sound? 8 EST?

Sounds fun! Any chance we could make it 8:30? I'm Central, and 7 is right when I'm putting my 4-year-old to bed. If not, I can just catch up with you guys after the first game.

I do have a question though...Are the moba "beginner" guides the place to go for instruction & tips? I've been using that on a second screen while I play. Of course, I have none of the runes and haven't even begun using sight wards.

I've just discovered this guy's videos. They're very long but ridiculously informative. I'd say check em out for sure

Nice find! Audio issues aside, the work he put into preparing clips for illustration go a long way towards getting the important points across.

Thanks, I know what I'll be doing at lunch today!

So is it just freebie week? But Udyr has gotten quite popular this week. I still see a lot of people going off of old guides, and old builds, old meaning pre-change. Was up against one last night, he understood the sneak attack, guerilla fighting that Udyr is now designed for, but he was maxing Phoenix stance first.

But for me, it is hampering my ability to try out the tweaked build I made for Udyr. Spirit of the Ancient Golem was seriously changed with Udyr in mind-building from Kindlegem and not Giant's Belt, and adding CDR.

Something else I am seeing, is that more and more often, stacking raw mana, and not mana regen is the way to go. So getting an Iceborn Gauntlet and a Banshee's Veil has been more useful than a Philo stone.

The big adjustment for me is getting away from my old habit of keeping Monkey's Agility maxed, instead you use it in a fight, and then slink off.

I have been working off of this as the core.

I have had good success with building Blade of the Ruined King also-Bilgewater Cutlas is one of the better items in the game right now. Black Cleaver might sub for Last Whisper in some situations. Black Cleaver loves to be on characters with speed. And it augments the passive on Tiger Stance nicely.

When I jungle, I like to check if the top or support will be building Aegis. If they are, I will go with a Catalyst instead. If the opposing team is going AD heavy, get Ninja Tabi instead. That bit of extra armor early on goes a long way in your ganks.

Udyr is indeed free this week. I can't speak much to the rest of your post, as I've only played him once (and I'm still pretty noobish in general when it comes to builds, etc.), but I will say that when I played him, I was told to max Phoenix first, too. So that may be the current meta for Udyr--unless that's what you were pointing out was one of the old builds.

Sooooo, is tonight happening? 8-8:30ish EST?

I would love to join after the week I have had and surprise mandated travel plans. I would also like to state I would only like to join as long as I am allowed to drink copious amounts of vodka...

That's the plan, cheets.

Well Octavious, I think that the phoenix focus is from old builds. What I am finding post patch is that with some armor pen from the masteries and marks, my clear times are fastest starting tiger. Tiger is also much more useful in ganking. With the change to bear, removing collision detection, you can run through the creeps if the opposing player is playing on the bush side top or bottom.

The damage output and AP rations on phoenix, I think make it more useful pushing lanes than clearing the jungle or getting ganks.

You are not here yet. But a lot of popular, and high rated guides are out of date with the latest patches. Patches can seriously change the way a champion plays. New Udyr is a lot less tanky, but he is more adept at dealing out the hurt. The focus on him with the changes to bear and Monkey Agility, is moving fast, closing the gap, and dealing damage.

For those not in game last night, got a pentakill on AD Thresh :3 . I've never gotten past 3 items before as him, since he's such a lane bully the enemy AD is usually super far behind. Ended up with Bloodthirster, Infinity Edge, Last Whisper, and Frozen Mallet. As usual, it's always a pleasure running the Thresh Taric combo with you complex.

Phoenix is still the fastest jungle clear for Udyr. You just have to get in the habit of queuing up procs to take advantage of the passive component. You can instantly kill the small camps and get the large one to half life in 2 auto attacks if you do it properly.

It also gives him burst comparable to Tiger since it procs on the first hit, so it is great for ganks, teamfighting, and pushing lanes.

New Udyr is much more mobile than the previous one. He lost the bonus resist component of his passive, but this only became significant in the late game when you had enough armor/mr to take advantage of it. In exchange, he is actually more tanky in the early game because they rebuffed his turtle shield. You do not have to build him with any kind of focus on damage. Locket, aegis, etc. are still perfectly viable.

you get penta...

still they hunt and murder me on katarina...stupid xin/sona ult. I still love how each of them in turn had to learn for themselves how hard you hit with the passive. I remember you going mid and the TF is like like "I will stun you and combo you! I am farmed!" *q combo* "Why did I just lose 3 quarters of my life?"

At least the game before they tried to kill your twitch, after getting bored dunking my orianna. Not that they got too do much of anything. Malph/Amumu/Orianna Ult is far too much CC.

I'm looking forward to the games tonight, depending how many we get, we can run at least one summoners rift 5 on 5 normal custom and if we have extras I can step out and run an aram for anyone extra if we can't fill another full 10 game.

I am ready for tonight. I bought bourbon.

I don't know how much I am going to play vs spectate/record. Now that crinkle has shown us the way to get lol recorder working again, I might do post game recordings with the people who played. Either way I am going to try to get a bunch of video recorded and the playlist will get updated

So we might steal a person or two for that instead of arams

I think the difference Dyni, is the bonus damage on basic attacks, and better AD scaling on Tiger, and the 10 bonus you get from Machete on basic attacks. Phoenix no longer boosts your AP and AD for 5 seconds. So you go into tiger, and hit for 140 damage as magic(this was a big jungle change, because jungle monsters have no MR) over 2 seconds, your speed is up close to 60 percent thanks to monkey agility, tiger, and masteries, plus an extra 10 damage for each smack to the face. You ignore all of the golem's armor, so it just melts down. Now with phoenix, you belch 44 damage, and 16 every second, you attack slower so you are not getting the full benefit of Machete's 10 true damage on strike, . You get no bonus damage on Phoenix, because you have no AP.

I can only say, try it out my way and see. But the boss monsters are just melting away.

i may be in but won't be home from work until 9 pm EDT.

KG and Dyni, only one way to resolve this: Udyr off. 2 Udyrs enter, 2 Udyrs leave after hitting turtle, then stunning, then running away.

I was going to suggest trying it and comparing replays, but Oily's idea is much better. I'll sing the thunderdome music acapella.

It is how an Udyr fight goes. I really like playing him pure harass mid-late game. With the loss of collision on Bear, and even more speed boost with Monkey Agility, I think he could out annoy Teemo.

I am also finding that Mundo works well that way on Twisted Treeline. Just lob cleavers all over the place, and use Swiftness Boots.

Are people planning on being on Vent for voice chat?

Yea people really didn't like you last night, but I will gladly sacrifice anyone to get a penta =P <3 That TF had no clue what I was about to do to him. I think he even ignited me...

I'd assume we should use vent. Just that much easier to all be on the same program for pre and post game taunting. I guess in-game communications are also helpful...

That would be the safest bet. If not on there the GWJ channel in game will i'm sure be used as a list for invites and conversation.
