League Of Legends Catch All

Did anyone else buy Graves? I'm curious to hear what others think of him. He seems pretty strong to me so far. Nice escapes and high damage output.

He's neat. I built a balanced Crit/AD with a dusting of AS and enjoyed him.
He's really slow, and his dash needs about 10% more range. Then I'd be very pleased with him.

I have about 12k IP so i think i might grab him, I liked his spotlight a lot and when i get back from my business trip I'll make some sort of purchase.

Since it hasn't been said for a few pages and having finally hit level 20...

Runes are expensive.

(Also I'm disappointed Bewitching Nidalee is 975 and not 520 like Blitz and Noc)

They have to do twice the work for her. Cat and human form.

Personally I'm passing on Graves. He doesn't bring anything that other AD carries don't already have, though his smoke screen mechanic did look interesting. His short range (relative to Cait/Trist) doesn't help, and his dash doesn't look any better than Cait's net. His smoke screen will surprise people for about a week, then players will adapt and it'll become harder to use.

I'm still battling with this. On my first rune page I've just filled out all the seals, both Quints, and 4 of the 7 marks. However, I haven't touched the glyphs yet. Was price-checking on the glyphs only to discover that the ones I want are 800ish a piece. Meanwhile, I'm halfway to level 22. Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaark.

I'm certain it took forever to recolor the cat skins black, put some bandages on it, and copy the witch hat over from human form. :p

I'm sure they already make a good profit off of skins sales. Heck, most new skins are 975 regardless of how complicated they may be, I'm probably more disappointed they they are selling half of the harrowing skins at 520 and asking more for, of course, the girls.

There are some good T2 holiday runes for sale this week.

2050 IP Health/Move Speed Quints. That is all.

Graves seems like a copy of Miss Fortune. They both have attack speed buffs, an AOE slow, a cone shaped bullet ult, an oddly directional nuke, and they both use guns.

Except Miss Fortune is hot.

Don't overlook this comment! The holiday runes are frequently cheaper than their regular counterparts, but with the same benefit. 2 of my AD quints are from last Christmas, and they cost me half as much as regular AD quints.

This isn't anything to do with Nidalee in particular, there are always some holiday skins which are more than others. Candy Cane Miss Fortune was 520, but Silent Night Sona and Reindeer Kog'Maw were both 975. It might also be that Bewitched Nidalee comes with a new sound/dance/some other animation, as was the case with Sona/Kog'Maw last Christmas.

She also always shoots first, which by default makes her the best champion ever.

Sweet monkey, I am totally getting 3 of those HP quints. 2 HP to save 1055 IP? Yes please.

So I'm definitely not spending a point until 30lvl to get all runes possible. 3900 so far.

Yeah, these Harrowing runs are just a hair less powerful that the T3 ones.

Interesting, because most people I've seen play him, pros included, consider him quite overpowered. His Q does crazy damage apparently.

Graves:
I think his smoke screen could be used really well once your team learns how to take advantage of it (your jungler especially).

One thing that'd make it much more interesting is if the smoke screen hid the caster as well.

This will be rectified in short order with a hotfix. A lot of champions launch with some balance issues (not all OP). I'm looking at his ability set for the long run, once Riot finds the right ratios.

Well it will entirely depend on the ratios. His shorter range abilities have to be compensated with higher damage, so it's pretty hard to determine where he will end up without knowing his numbers.

He isn't supposed to be the same as Cait or Trist or Kog'maw. He's much more like Vayne and MF. In fact he kind of makes MF redundant. His skills are quite similar to hers and are just as good if not better in each case. Not to mention his passive is much more useful for a short range carry than MF's.

Damn. I'd pick up those AP quints in a hurry if I had the IP. I need to get off my ass and find out if Riot would refund the IP I've spent on a bunch of champs if I purchase a big champ bundle containing those champs.

This was about two years ago so maybe the situation has changed, but yes, when I bought a bundle that contained a few champs I'd previously purchased, I just sent an e-mail to support naming the champions and they refunded me their IP cost the next day.

Agreed, it will depend on the ratios. I'm not trying to claim where Riot intends him to be, I'm just saying where I think he is based on what else is available. For me, being a frequent ranged AD carry player, I don't see any reason to pick him up since I already have Cait, Vayne and Trist, all of whom I'd pick over him. That may change if his ratios don't get nerfed, but currently I expect they will be.

Dude needs all the buffs he can get. He is one of the 5 worst champs in the game, if not the worst.

what do you consider the 5 worst to be?

Thanks for the rune price comparison thing. Still only 17 or so, so might as well grab those tier 2 ones I guess. Should take some of the edge off for when I hit 20.

Honestly I just said that so no one would be like "oh, well BLAH BLAH is worse".

But Skarner, Twitch, Evelyn, Sivir, and Veigar come to mind. It's not that they're unplayable, it's just that there are MUCH better options for the archetype they represent. Like, if you are playing Sivir, why aren't you playing Cait/Ashe/Trist/Kog, etc? They're all better ranged AD champs.

You know you get access to all the runes at 20, not 30 right?

This just means you're going to want to replace them eventually. I wouldn't get them if it were me. I know it's not much difference, but just as with all runes, every little bit makes a difference. You have a limited number of slots, you can always get more IP.

While true, there are myriad things to spend IP on, with more always coming, and IP does not build up quickly. I have time for 1, maybe 2 games in a night, and then not every night of the week. I'm lucky if I can get 1000 IP in a week. Buying a Harrowing HP rune means that I get to save a weeks worth of IP at the cost of only 2 HP. Is it worse than a full powered HP quint? Yes. Is it going to dramatically alter my games to have 6 less HP at level 1? No.

Yeah, Sivir is attractive for newbies to play, but I haven't seen her used by experienced players in... I don't even know how long. Her spell shield is more fiddly and weaker than other options, zero CC, ult is a halfhearted AOE buff. Poor Xena.

70 minute game. Stupid idiots on my team, didn't want to surrender for 30-40 minutes. I hate those people who stick around just for the sake of it, so annoying. And we never could have won, after we all reached 18 their team was much better with multiple stuns, etc. we had nothing like that. /rant
EDIT: second game in a row, just like that. Wow, so many really bad people, much worse than in HoN.
