Form a Union, Clear Your Pile

In honor of May Day, this month's pile games will need to sit down at the negotiating table so we can iron out some sort of agreement. 60% of this game qualifies as "finished," while we promise to add at least 10% more games to our pile annually. We won't even get started with health care benefits or benefits for legacy games.

A quick reminder, in order to be considered "Pile of Shame" the game needs to be at least three months old. Otherwise, it's just a new game you haven't gotten to playing yet.

Let's get on to the games!

This Month's Pick of the Pile is

[size=30][b]Chronicles of Riddick

"Set before the events of both the Universal Pictures' 2004 summer release, The Chronicles of Riddick, starring Vin Diesel, and the 2000 breakout hit Pitch Black, which first introduced Diesel as enigmatic anti-hero Riddick.

Bounty hunter Johns brings Riddick into the notorious Butcher Bay - home to the most violent criminals in the universe. However, Riddick has no intentions of staying."(

Put me down for Tales of Monkey Island on PC. I hope to knock out an episode per week.

Start me off with Assassin's Creed 2. I'm also working on Call of Pripyat, but that doesn't make the cut.

C&C: Red Alert 3 (which is technically multi-platform, but that's just silly - an RTS on a console??)

Clive Barker's Jericho
Dragon Age: Origins

Dead Space, definitely

Still working on Assassin's Creed 2. Almost there, but couldn't knock it off last month.

Hmmm, interesting.

Mark me up for Defense Grid: The Awakening (I'm close to finish, 3 or 4 levels away) and Trine (this one I have to go start to finish).

Good luck to all on the race to finish.

Batman Arkham Asylum for me. Playing on the 360. Started playing it today and couldn't stop...think I'm about 5-6 hours in now. I've heard it's only 10-12 hours, so I'll likely have a second game this month in addition.

Persona 3 (oh the dozens of hours I will loose and already started losing) on the PS2.
Dead Space on the PC.

Tales of Vesperia! Oh RPG towns, how I've missed you. Don't even leave me again.

Other than Dead Space, I will be hoping to get through Star Wars: The Force Unleased.

All this is dependant on me getting Mass Effect 2 - Insanity done! By god that lives up to the difficulty name.

This month I'm going to play The Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition on the PC and Sly 3: Honour Among Thieves on PS2.

Although I wasn't exactly blown away by the first episode, Telltale has enough bonus points in my book for me to take on Strong Bad's CG4AP (PC/multi) episodes 2 and 3, Strongbadia the Free and Baddest of the Bands, respectively. The "hidden" Atari-style cover art of the disc version is pretty awesome, I have to admit.

I'll also give Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena (PC/multi) and MadWorld (Wii) a shot. I'm starting from 0 on all of these, so we'll see how it goes.

I'm at the last level of Trine (PC) and so that's a no-brainer to finish. I'll also use this month to clear out world eight of The New Super Mario Bros Wii, and finally bring that one to a close as well. I've really slacked on it.

I know these are both low hanging fruit, but they're all I've got for now.

I am going to go bold and say both Bully: SE and GUN on 360.

Put me down for FEAR 2, please. On 360.

I am wondering if anyone wants to do a group pile pledge. I have to admit, I have never really finished any Left 4 Dead campaigns. I always played versus.

Anyone in a similar boat want to dedicate some Steam time to getting through the movies? Maybe for 2 as well?

I'm going to try to finish the Halo: ODST single-player game this month. That'll make a tiny dent in an absurd pile...

I could do that. I think I've only gotten through one or two and that was on the 360. I never finished any campaigns on the PC.

List should be current.

It was a gorgeous day outside, so of course I stayed in and burned through the remainder of Trine. The bonus level added in the last update is a nasty piece of work.

5.6 hours total playtime - glad I only payed $5! Great little game, but too short to justify much more.

This month: Persona 3 on PS2.

This month, I'm finally going to finish LittleBigPlanet PSP.

Put me down for Left 4 Dead 2, as well. I'm gonna be playing on the 360, but I might be interested in playing either L4D with you guys on the PC, as I have both and barely put much time into either game.

Assassin's Creed 2 went down last night. I think I'll finish up the Riddick games next.

This month I finish off Final Fantasy XIII and Secret of Evermore. I have to finish them as next month is the beginning of the home remodel that will never end

Let me know what you think of that, I played through it earlier this year, and while enjoyable, it kinda lost some steam towards the end of the Dark Athena 'expansion.'

I'm already a good portion of the way through Assassin's Creed 2. I expect to polish that off this month.
I've just started Dragon Age, so there's no freakin' way I'm going to finish that this month.

I think that's it for my pile games - there's more that I may dip in and out of, but I'm not committing to them.

EDIT - I'm not sure why I'm down for Dead Space, but I think that's an error.... I finished that months ago.

Thanks for carrying over Aquaria. I hope to wrap that up this week, and then I'll figure out where to go from there. Steam on the Mac could make or break my pile chances for this month.

Still debating over what I want to get to this month candidates include, but are not limited to:
New Super Mario Bros. Wii
Simpson's Hit & Run (GCN)
Muramasa (Wii) -if doing the 2nd person counts - but you see credits after finishing with 1.
Freedom Force (PC) -I'm at odds with this game but finished a mission relatively easily this weekend
Mega Man 9 (WiiWare)
Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando (PS2)
Swords & Soldiers (WiiWare)

Definitely put Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII (PS2) up there for me. I think I got nearly half way through in one sitting before, but the single save per memory card is a pain since my wife wants to play, too. I think I'll just power through for now.

I could be convinced to go after NSMB:Wii if a at least one more other than AndrewA goes after it, too. My deadline for this would be May 23rd as I have Super Mario Galaxy 2 pre-ordered.

FF XIII is too new. Secret of Evermore is added.

List should be current.

I was just reminded in the deals thread that I own Giants: Citizen Kabuto. I'll be playing that with a couple mods suggested in GOG's forums.
