Red Dead Redemption Catch-all

Be forewarned, if you aren't a huge fan of zombies tearing people apart or a decent amount of blood & gore, then this DLC is probably not for you. I'm not a big horror fan and and while this is RDR, it's not exactly my fancy. If I didn't buy the "All The DLC" pack, I might be a little... blech. I'm not done with it, put about 2.5 hours in last night, and will keep playing it - just not a horror or gore fan.

Regardless, I'm all for getting together and shooting things up, though!

I'll be buying this soon, and I'd be up for a MP session. Been a long time.

I was going to reply to Trueheart saying I didn't think there was that much gore, but then I re-thought that. There are quite a few cinematics where there is gore, but the more disturbing thing is how often John sits there and watches a zombie walk up behind someone and does nothing.

Well, ammo is pretty scarce and all.

Good times last night. Shame that the zombie horde morde is limited to four players. I guess a whole posse of 8 cowpokes gunning them down would make it a little too easy.

Also, I'm curious about the Land Grab that was added to Free Roam. It's nice to see Rockstar try to add some more content to that mode other than just "shoot random stranger". I forget who said it last night but it always seems like Rockstar's approach is to throw a whole bunch of stuff in multiplayer and see what sticks? Poker? Here you go. Team Slayer? Done. Rush mode? Added. Horde? Let me crank out that netcode.

It's Red Dead online is amalgamation of everything that's been on Xbox Live for the past 12 months.

Good times last night - I am down for more!

My head hurts. Oof.

There are side effects to being resurrected by dynamite. You should probably have that looked at

Also, I'll be up for more tonight as well. Viva la dynamite!

Wow, they've really gone mainstream.

That's awesome!

Was it on College Jeopardy, or Original Flavor, though?

College, and no one got it.

I was not going to buy this, but consider me enabled.

My final deciding question though...are they slow or fast?

The zombies are flavored to be slow, initially. The crawling ones are fast, though. Darn fast. Added ones that just aim to bowl you over, as well as spitter-like ones that explode after being killed (and can take their own kind out), and it becomes more than just picking off lonely, slow zombies.

So are we going to round up a posse on Friday night for some zombastic blasting?

To add to this, most of the zombies will be slow most of the time, but they will run at you when they get close. The crouching/crawling zombies are quick all the time though, and the 'bruiser' zombies will basically try to flatten you when they charge.

Am I the only one that is obsessed with keeping every settlement "safe"? I'm down in Mexico, but every time I see a "the zombie horde is attacking X" message, I've abandoned what I was doing and fast travel to the location (fast traveling BACK again after it's over).

Not sure if there is really any point to this, other than keeping my safehouse open in that area. Should I be doing with this, or just forget the gringos?

I do the same thing and it's starting to wear thin. Other than a possible achievement for them all being saved at the same time, I'm not sure what reason I've got to keep punishing myself like this. I enjoy the DLC (to a point) but until I get my Unicorn I shall not be satisfied.

There's an achievement for having all the settlements safe at the same time. Other than that, not sure if there's a purpose to it.

Edit: Tannhauser'd

I agree that it's wearing pretty thin. Still, I feel compelled to do it.

Speaking of horses, I am still annoyed that I killed frigging War within five minutes of getting him. Haven't found him again. Got Pestilence (who the game claims is undying; not true) and then Famine. Hate the stupid buzzing fly sound Famine gives off.

"Wearing thin"? The hordes of the undead are sweeping across the land. sir. A gross violation of the natural order which was not meant to be. I stop everything to save towns, for, indeed, when a town is under attack, there is no other mission more important than saving it. Every innocent saved is an undead not raised.

Though in 13 hours, only Blackwater, Chocinay, and McFarlane's have come under attack again.

Finish the 4 Horses challenges, and you get deeds for all of them.
