Non-game Android Apps Recommendations Catch-All

Any recommendations for a drink recipes app?

My wife was having some fun surfing 10001 Cocktails, but every one of them has a metric butt-ton of people complaining about them.

Announced today, Rhapsody will be putting out an Android app. Considering my work environment, they have a great chance of me subscribing.

Does anybody use Rhapsody? I use Zune for my music sub, but its annoying that I can't use my phone as my mp3 player because all my music is zune drm.

Thinking about switching to Rhapsody for my music sub. How is the sound quality. I'm a little wary of streaming all my music.

I've heard mixed reviews on the Android app (pull it up in the market by searching for "Rhapsody"). They have a 14 day free trial, I'd say give that go when you feel it might be ready. I'm kind of holding off, but really need to do something about soon - my collection grows tiresome and for the now $9.99 plan option, I can't say it's not worth trying.

Yeah, noticed that. :p

Mint has released their Android app. Played with it for a minute and seems pretty useful. Great to finally have it!

Whoo! If I could just get Dropbox I'd be all set.

There are a few dropbox apps out there... Not official though.

I want something with "Send to Dropbox" in it.

Seems like the Dropbox official app is in beta, but they're taking their sweet time with it.

This package tracker looks useful to those who do more shipping than I do.

EDIT: Speedtest.net speed test app.

Also a plug for a friend of mine who is the developer of Stroids. Demo.

Anyone played with the various RDP clients that are available in the Market? Trueheart78 had linked to one sometime back, but I'm a little nervous about dropping 6 bucks on that app without knowing it's really worth it.

Well speak of the devil

http://www.dropbox.com/android

*edit* Wish there was a way to automatically sync all photos taken with the camera to Dropbox

Yeah... The one I got was $20. It works very well, but I don't know if it was worth $20.

I want that feature for Flickr. HTC Sense's integration of Flickr is sorely missed on non-Sense roms and phones.

When you buy apps on the Android Marketyou can return it for a refund within 24 hours. Just visit theapp's market pag.

Not sure if this helps, but I know all albums added to Picasa online get added to the phone's gallery automatically (as long as the Picasa account is the same as the gmail account, of course). It freaked me out at first since I found photos on there that I knew I had taken, but also knew that I didn't add to the phone.

My Picasa account is filled and I am a Flickr subscriber. I am more interested in Flickr integration.

The pricing on that is just too steep for me, considering I want to use this for personal access.

Not quite what you are looking for, but the BettrFlickr app does integrate into the Share menu so you can post to Flickr right from the album view after you take the photo.

Mobile Barcoder is a nice Firefox extension to generate a QR code of a link to your current page or any link on the page via context menu.

myLock is a lock screen replacement I just came across that looks interesting, I plan on trying it out but haven't yet.

Weird that barcode isn't working and I cant search for it on the market...

The code works fine for me...

What do you use to read them? I use Google Goggles.

In anticipation of the Desire I just ordered, can anyone recommend a best app for turning wifi/3g on and off based on location? I've seen Locale mentioned and a beta for Tasker, but both of those appear to do what I want but also a zillion other things.

Does anyone have a lighter weight app that will just manage your connections automatically?

Take a look at Settings Profiles, Timeriffic, and JuiceDefender.

Both goggles and barcode scanner can read the code correctly, but it can't find it in the marketplace for some reason.

EDIT: Ah, from his website:

[Note: Droid 2.1 owners, I’m aware some of you are having issues seeing the app in the Android Market and am trying to figure out why. Know that I’m on it and let me know if anyone has tips on what may be the problem!]

Thanks for the tip, those look promising.
