AMD's Six Core Phenom II's are out

Picked one up at for $309 which according to benchmarks is a pretty good deal. It's still not super competitive with Intel chips except in cases where the 6 Cores can shine vs the 4 Core i5's and i7's. But at that price and the fact that its backwards compatible with AM2+ sockets and DDR2 makes it a nice upgrade path for a lot of AMD users out there.

Cool! Thanks for the heads up!

I wonder what's next? This is getting to be like the razor head wars of Gilette and Wilkinsons.

That motherboard is not compatible with the X6 or the newer X4s.
