Enslaved Catch-All

Is this the same on the same engine as DMC? I don't know if they'd ever consider it at this point, but just wondering about the potential of a PC port for them. If they've ported one game with the engine maybe another one would be conceivable (I know in the past they were unable to do the work and opted for DLC instead- just thinking out loud since DMC PC is getting such good work of mouth).

I don't know if it's the same engine but I would be truly shocked if Enslaved saw a PC release. It's the property of Namco-Bandai and they are just as hesitant to make PC games as most Japanese publishers (Capcom is the rare exception, PC gaming is an extremely niche part of the gaming scene there).

The one Namco-Bandai game from this generation I can think of that came to PC was Dark Souls, and that was after quite a lot of bellyaching, petitions, etc. Enslaved didn't enjoy half of Dark Souls' fan reception, so I just don't see it happening.

Both games run the Unreal engine. I would buy Enslaved again in a heartbeat if it got a proper, uprezzed PC port. Namco did release a PC port of the latest Ace Combat game of all things recently. Who knows, maybe it could happen. That guy who has been funding all the Double Fine PC releases needs to call Ninja Theory.

Just got the game from gamefly, at chapter 9 so far and enjoying it quite a bit. The only issue to me is that the controls don't feel great and the combat is rather dull. I want to beat it right away but damn work tomorrow.

Edit: Just beat it and enjoyed the game quite a bit. Ending seemed a bit rushed but it was still a fun ride. Now I'm gonna go read journey to the west.

Are you suprised? I'm Suprised?

Update: A Namco Bandai rep confirmed to Polygon that Enslaved will be re-released as part of a premium edition later this month on PlayStation 3 and Windows PC.

Well that came out of flippin' nowhere.

Kickass. More people should play this.

I've been contemplating the DLC for the 360 for a while now, but a PC version, that could be all inclusive?

*insert Fry "take all my money" image*

I did not know this.

And yeah, the DLC is pretty good. IMO. (Biased, obvs; I did quite some work on it.)

That is pretty cool. I think I was close to the end when I stopped playing on the Xbox.
Looking forward to seeing it on PC.

This has been sitting in my list of games to eventually buy. I guess I'll just wait for the PC version release to give it a shot. Excellent news.

This was one of the few games I was sorry I sold.

I enjoyed it until I hit a point my feeble controller skills wouldn't let me get past on the PS3 (should have tried on easy). I would totally rock it on M&K where I can actually do something useful.

I have nothing to add except that I really enjoyed the game on 360.

Played it on 360 -- it's fantastic. I'll be double-dipping at the right price just to get the Piggy's Perfect 10, which I heard was excellent.

This still sits on my 'Never gonna sell it' shelf. It's a very small shelf.

Awesome it's a great game and more people should play it.

So yeah...just saw that this is on Steam. Tempted to pick it up, even though I have the 360 version (but still no 360).

What's next? Red Dead Redemption?

If only.

I bought it for PS3. Loved it. Trip one of my prime examples of a great tag along character. She is not helpless, but you do have to take her into consideration. And she is just an interesting and powerful character. I have it on my Steam wishlist now. Gonna pick it up once it goes on sale.

So awesome that this was ported to the PC- disappointed that a bigger deal wasn't made of this when the port was completed. would have been cool to hear gaming sites- like GWJ- give the game a play and talk about it. I believe they talked about the game when it came out on PS3 a little, but I don't believe it got much time- that could be be my poor memory, maybe I'm wrong about that.

I might double-dip and get this on PC, not sure. I will look forward to the Steam sale so that I can gift this to a lot of lucky people, for sure.
