Enslaved Catch-All

This does look really cool.

It does look cool. I'm so glad it doesn't come out until October.

Too. Many. Games.

This still looks like one of the best games that i've seen in a long time. Have to see how the controls/camera work out though as i can imagine that they could make or break a game like this....

The surf-boarding clip had me cringing a bit but it was also really out-of-context in the trailer. Overall the game looks fantastic; I really enjoyed Heavenly Sword and can't wait to see more of Enslaved.

E3 trailer up!

Click for 720p. Much better quality than the old IGN link, too

Ok, that's better. I loved the serine beginning and story emphasis of this trailer. It was well cut and paced from my point of view. I also like the voices, especially Monkey. It didn't sound like they were reading from a script but actual beings conversing.

Good luck to your co-workers during E3.

GameSpot got a hands-on demo at E3. They said some pretty nice things!

Hey Floomi,

Are there any plans to release a demo on XBL at all? Thanks!

Apparently a demo is on the cards, yes

Gameplay footage:

Part One

Part Two

Part Three

The order is a bit weird. I think part three goes first, chronologically.

Wow, the gameplay footage is charming the pants off of me. I get more excited for this title the more I see of it.

Is it me, or is that John DiMaggio voicing Monkey?

Nice! It looks to have all the combat fun of Heavenly Sword with open environments and action platforming that I wanted. Should be fun.

Still digging it from the release of the story trailer. Looking good but I would like to see a 'quicklook' style video so I could get a better feel for how this game progresses.

No, it's Andy Serkis.

Maybe you can't answer this but:

Did they hold the voice recording sessions with the two protagonists together in the same room?

Yup. And they were mocapped at the same time.

Oh, and it seems we've got a nice(r) official website now

Would you say the gameplay shown in those vids is representative of the gameplay over the course of the game? I can understand it might be tutorial stuff, and through the game more things can be layered on.

That would explain the great quality.

Wow. That guy is a really talented character actor.

I've been hearing that he is being credited as directing this game. Is that true? Or was he more like an advisor?

Heavenly Sword is a favorite of mine (Anna Torv & Andy Serkis!), I'll definitely be playing this at some point.

<3 Tell us seriously please, are those bullshots? It's looking a bit too good to believe.

I genuinely don't know. It does look pretty, though.

More press! First, A really nice hands-on from Eurogamer. My favourite quote:

Eurogamer wrote:

[Andy Serkis] and Ninja Theory, have done a tremendous job, conveying more than enough emotion through the raise of a bestial brow and subtle vocal inflection to make up for his less than loquacious dialogue - adeptly penned by Alex Garland. In some scenes it touches on the uncanny valley, communicating so effectively with sub-conscious body language that I'm a little taken aback.

It's a pretty in-depth article, well worth a read.

And on a less highbrow note, a truly excellent interview by HipHopGamer. Not because anything particularly exciting or new has been revealed in it, but simply because HHG is a joy to behold. "If you don't buy this game i will slap you with all my knuckles right here."

Second, more pictars! (Click for big.) These are my favourites from the gallery over at Kotaku.

Is Monkey tackling a robot? If so that's awesome.

I'm really excited. Everything about this seems to fit in to my current gaming trend (playing through Assassin's Creed 2). I'm in the mood for more running around beat'em ups.

What, you're saying you wouldn't do the same in his situation? Pfft.

In AC2 I learned how to tackle people. Now I can't stop randomly tackling people in the game. I may never get beyond the first enemy if I can just constantly tackle them.

Seriously - that was one of the best video game trailers I have ever seen. I am super pumped for this game.

Andy Serkis voiced Monkey? That doesn't sound like him at all. Great job there, Andy.

Also, I'm imagining the art department ringed with televisions looping Life After People all day long.

I am interested.

Looked cool, hated trailer voice guy.
