This will also be an area to talk about and discover ringtones that you might be interested.
These are ringtones I've made of things I found hilarious. If you have any ringtone suggestions or would like to share your own finds feel free.
There are other things in there that you can feel free to take and make into ringtones and stuff.
I wish I had something more to say but thats all. Some people suggest that I make these available so I did. One last thing. On skydrive you can go to the download drop down menu and download them all into a .zip file.
This might have a little more class than the other stuff I've made.
UPDATE: Ok I wiped my skydrive clean. Here are some Idle Thumbs Ringtones I use to get up in the morning as an alarm or phone tone.
My ringtone is the Mega Man 3 theme, with the slow intro cut off. I attained it completely legally, through a process I do not have time to elaborate on. Really.

Tried rick's tones. Somewhat too avantgarde to be set off in my office.

That is why I need suggestions for ringtone material.
Yeah I'd love to do other stuff but the kind of music i'm into is to "avantgarde" and I always tend to pick stupid or inappropriate. So, if there is a particular cut of or a section of music you like give me a youtube link and the time.... or a better audio source.
I made one that was legit. I don't remember the site I used but I bought a song, uploaded to site, and then cropped out what part of the song I wanted. I be happy to share it but I don't know of any sites that will allow me to upload the ringtone so I can post a URL and photobucket will not let me upload an audio file. Any suggestions?
I use Gato's Song from Chrono Trigger; I own the soundtrack, so it was a nice easy conversion. It kicks as much ass as a ringtone as it did in the original game.
I use the sound CT plays when you go to sleep as my new-mail alert. It's not that well suited, but it was ten seconds long, which made it convenient.
I'm looking for the Benny hill song for the iPhone, anyone got that? got it I also currently use a bunch of Mario songs as my current rings. For my wife I have the Castle theme, in which you fight Bowser. My doesn't get it but I guess that is a good thing.

I've got the first 20 seconds of Ninja Gaiden by the Minibosses (Live from the Middle East) as mine.
Quintin_Stone: Nice looking c*ck you got there, dimmerswitch.
BadKen: So what you're saying is that cops can look at my dick pics without a warrant.
*Legion*: my right hand spent most of those early-teen years in that grip position
I have part of the opening of "I'm Sorry I Sang On Your Hands that Must Have Been in the Grave" by Sunset Rubdown. My wife's ringtone is the opening theme for Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. I made them myself using legal MP3 files and Audacity and transferred them to my phone via Bluetooth.
I love making new ringtones. I replace mine every few months as something new strikes my fancy.
Professionally offended. Does not understand jokes. Needs a man to explain them to me.
I use the Cowboy Bebop theme song, "Tank!", for my ringtone, but I swap that around with Nirvana's "Serve The Servants" every once in a while. Like Adam, they're legal mp3s that I bluetoothed over to my cell phone.
"@OzymandiasAV No, you're just indicative of the sjw infestation in the gaming media." -- Brad Wardell
These are my current ones.
GF ring: NIN All the love in the world, somewhere past the 3:30 mark
Work Ring: Propellerheads Bang On!, 00:17 mark.
But I've used stuff from the Phantom Brave Soundrack, Disgaea 3, The Sword, and I'm about to load up the latest Solid Steel podcast into Audacity because there's an awesome scratch right after the Daft Punk Harder faster Stronger whatever clips that, if I remember correctly, use vocoder voice to drone Work Harder Work Harder Work Harder Our work is never done or something like that. I was driving so I couldn't spot it directly.
Luckily my Blackberry lets me use MP3s as ringtones so no special software needed.
EDIT: it might have been episode 99, not 100... their numbering scheme put the REAL latest one at the top of the folder instead of the bottom.
EDIT2: Had the entire hour timeline for that episode on the screen and nailed the segment with the first click. Damn I love when that happens! Mark 20:50. Wo-wo-w-w-work it. Wo-wo-w-w-work it. Our work is never over.
Politely rude. Briskly vague. Firmly uninformative.
Mines the "Throne Room" from star wars episode 4.

I've made a few for my iPhone using this simple method whenever something strikes my fancy.
Favourites are the battle theme from Final Fantasy VI (a good attention grabber), The Dance from The Life Aquatic, and of course Homer's Mexican Hat Dance ringtone.

Currently I have the Mario theme song Overland as my ring, I made the 3rd doctor's theme from Doctor Who into a ring tone last night for my wife. I was thinking about converting a good copy of In the hall of the Mountain king as ring tone or the Queen of the night aria as a ring tone as well.

Ooh, good idea on the actual link. Here's Gato's Song, which is just amazingly good as a ringtone. I'm not sure where to get it legally, though. I bought the original Chrono Trigger soundtrack off EBay a number of years ago.
I use a International LoneStar air horn/engine noise/jake braking. It's pretty sweet.
IN THE WAKE OF _FEDERATION_ THERE AROSE EMPIRE
Mine's one of the tracks from the Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD remix soundtrack (06 Reinterpretation, get it legally here: http://www.ocremix.org/info/OC_ReMix...). It's got positive feedback at work.
As an alternative I have o2's remix of Nemesis The Warlock (http://www.remix64.com/tune_11600.html).
The Devil Went Down to Georgia. Good for a laugh.
“While American democracy is imperfect, few outside the majority of this court would have thought its flaws included a dearth of corporate money in politics.” - Justice John Paul Stevens
I alternate through different ringtones depending on my mood. Right now, my default ringtone is the Left 4 Dead - Safe Room jingle. I use the Carnival Stage from Marvel vs Capcom 2 as a school alarm but I've been thinking of making it my new default. Loonboon from Plants vs Zombies was downgraded to alarm status. I was also in love with Concrete Man's theme for a long time.
I only have one custom ringtone set up. A portion of Dancing Mad plays whenever my husband calls me. It starts at 00:40. I even have a little Kefka sprite as his photo.
I'm using a clip from Halo 3 - Finish the Fight @ 1:08-1:26 -- the first few seconds of piano and full orchestra is sufficiently unrecognizable as video game music as to be acceptable on my work phone.
My wife just yesterday changed the ringtone she has for incoming calls from me to be the hook from The Guild - Do You Wanna Date My Avatar @ 1:00-1:16.
GWJ Action Game Club
If you guys want L4D ringtones, I uploaded just about every ringtone-worthy sound from the game into a single 25MB zip file.
Enjoy!

The 1:21-1:40 section of Issues (NSFW lyrics in other parts) by MSI is great for girlfriends or booty calls.
Yeah that would be great going off in my office lol!

Just to bump up the thread I now put some Idle Thumbs snippets that I found funny as ringtones.
Link is dead - Got it stashed away somewhere else?
I'm mostly using tones available on the Mabilo Android app, so I'm guessing it's all of questionable legality. But here goes:
1. For everyone else: Mozart's Pachabel Canon in D (not too disturbing if it goes off in a meeting, but pretty distinctive)
2. For the Wife: A bit of the Rocky training music (training montage! plus the initial fanfare sure gets my attention )
3. For the boss: Music from Star Wars IV when Anakin first emerges as Darth Vader (yes immature I know, but most people in my office aren't geeky enough to get the reference)
4. For friends: The BSG theme
5. A bunch of different sounds for message alerts: The MGS Codec sound for Gmail, the new Star Trek Movie alert sound for K-9 Mail, the ESPN Sports Center news flash sound for texts when in the office and the FFVII Victory sound for texts when outside.
You can actually pull the files straight from L4D if you own it.
I am pretty sure they are all WAV files.
I'm sure it comes as a surprise to everyone that my ringtone is the intro music to The IT Crowd. It's also on the wife's phone as my ringtone so she knows when I'm calling
Love others, weird and wonderfully. | "Old habits die screaming" - Taylor Swift| My Games
I have yet to watch that show. I might just take a look for the intro song so I know what your talking about. I will check the youtube link.
I only have the use of the built-in rigtones for my phone (a Samsung A850 to be preise). Had it for a couple years but never been able to figure out a way to get new ringtones other than buying ones through the store (which are like $1.99 per ringtone... and you only get the use of that ringtone for a month and you have to buy it again. No thanks).
