I actually got a screenshot of it, but most everything's obscured by foliage. You can still make out the general location if you know the map though. If you want me to post it say the word.

Well, even if you posted it I'd never find it again, but if others want to see it then go nuts!

Man - it's not enough to completely obliterate us in the game, but now this.

- and the worst is I was just about to be all bitch-y about that Charger comment, and then the next one totally shut me down.

Touche, Camnipotent.

(and by "touche" I mean "you are a douche that touches inappropriately")

Congrats to the team that used me, Elycion, Bill_Lewis and DonD as chew toys last night. We were out of sync the whole match and it showed.

That was a rough game. It continues the trend of very few close games either getting rolled or being rolled lately.

Or you know getting vote kicked out of a game.

I don't know what it is about this game but now that I finished the campaigns I don't find the gnawing desire to play constantly like I did with the first game. Maybe it's the 200+ hours I put into the first game that makes the experience less fresh. Despite it being different it's not TOTALLY different. I've put in 25 hours or so, which is more than I get out of a lot of games, so perhaps I should not complain, but my general lack of enthusiasm is still making me a bit sad (mainly because it means I have the itch to spend more money on other games).

I haven't had as much of a desire to play L4D2 either. I don't think that it has anything to do with the game itself, I have no real desire to go back to L4D1, I think I was starting to burn out on L4D about a month before the sequel came out, and it was mostly the sequel hype that kept me going. After I had played it for a week or two I just felt like a change.

I still play now and then, so keep sending those invites (especially for that early bird game that gets started before 8:30 PM EST, the biggest problem is how darn late most of you guys play).

Yeah I'm really in the same boat. I'd prefer more Scavenge games since it's less of a time commitment and it's different from more VS.

Even with Scavenge mode I feel that the L4D series is still only at the tip of the iceberg for this type of gameplay. It's like there's some sort of awesome game mode that's not yet been discovered. I've always loved VS but it feels like something's missing just over the horizon. I have no idea what that gameplay mode would be I just hope Valve has the same feeling and is working to discover it.

What happened there? You are referring to the game Sunday right? Did the pub-tard start that? Or am I missing the joke? So many questions needing answers.

Have you tried versus yet? I felt the same way when playing through the campaigns (well okay, campaign), but versus totally reversed my feelings about the game. It really does feel like L4D1 but better.

I sort of agree, even though I play basically every night. But what keeps me coming back to L4D2 (besides no money to buy a new game) is how much fun it is to play with goojers. Even when I'm losing I'm still at least laughing.

Also I wanted to apologize for my little brother and his pub-tard friends that tried to get into our game last night. He keeps trying to challenge us to a vs match but I always tell him that they just are not worth our time.

I'm still loving L4D2, and for that matter I still love the original and would gladly play if people were still making games. Unfortunately after months of averaging 3 games per night I realized that I needed to scale things back a bit because that much high intensity gaming with headphones on was shutting me off from my family more than I found acceptable. I think 2 games per night is a good compromise!

L4D2 is definitely suffering from a lot of uneven matches at the moment. Honestly I think a lot of it is just due to the fact that the sequel has pulled in a lot of new players, as well as L4D players who hadn't played nearly as much. Eventually people are either going to move on to other games, or they will get more practice and things will even up much more like the regular L4D games were.

On the topic of Scavenge games, it's a game mode that I desperately want to like but just cannot. It turns L4D2 into something a lot more fast twitch like TF2, and I simply enjoy the more deliberate and planned play style of versus as opposed to the hyperkinetic action in Scavenge. I'm not saying I'll never hop in and play scavenge, but when I do it's usually because I'm hoping after a round or two it will turn into a Versus game.

Well, I'm always up for a completely one sided domination match, as long as I am the one driving my foes wailing before me (and as long as this starts before 8:30 PM, see above). Also I am the oldest of 4 boys, so I am all about smacking down little brothers when they start getting ideas above their station.

The lobby action last night was actually pretty funny. I'd actually be just fine with taking a team against your brother and his friends sometime, my only stipulation would be that we not do it on a server with snarespeak.

I'd do it with snarespeak. You just have to keep things fun, like talking to them in Elizabethan English. I'm fine with the other team calling me a douchebag... I just don't want those people on my side

I would also be down for a battle against your brother and his friends Bill.

Pubing in L4D2 is currently at the stage L4D was just a few months into the game. Still got a lot of people new to the game, still got a lot of idiots making the game less than fun. It will smooth out in time, based on what happened in L4D. I was getting a lot of good PUGs in the last half of L4d's run.

Even now, its about 50-50 for me in L4D2 PUGs. Got in a great scavenge game last night, both teams were solid, did well, we even voted to play again, twice. Lots of fun.

Of course, that just balances (sorta) the games like this last weekend, where I ended up shutting down L4D2 in disgust and going off to play TF2. Isn't taking me long to remember why I gave up on TF2 though... Maybe I should fire up X-Com instead.

Yesterday sucked balls

I need to finish the Parish completion achivement so I decided to do it on Expert, to finish 1/5 of the Finish all campaigns on expert achivement

It's a pub so we died quite a few times around the car alarm zone before cemetary, and tanks but we get to the end...and 3 of us die. The 4th decides to screw us all and jump on the chopper

I get no achivement

Ugh. I can't even imagine finishing my Realism expert achivement with pubs, if this was this much trouble.

Yeah, not sure what happened other then I got vote kicked off the server. Was odd, I said f*ck it and finished up dragon age.

Yeah, you'll never get a goodjer leaving his entire team to die at the end of The Parish. Especially one who's already beaten it. Abandoning someone who hasn't. Nope, never.

Never, ever... *sigh*

Scavange is all fun and good, but it makes even a goodjer an asshat (myself included). Sorry for yelling at you Cyranix. There's just too much pressure compared to VS. If someone goes the wrong way, that's lost time waiting for them to come back and 5 or 10 seconds can be the difference between 5 and 10 gas tanks. That and no one seems to know what to do. Every has their own ideas and is upset when someone else tries to do something else. Do you split up, do you always stay together, do you go for the far cans, do you drop some on the ground and leave them vulnerable...

Vs is pretty simple. Haul your butt, stick together, and shoot those zombies!

The first Addon to L4D2 was announced for those who haven't heard about it.

I would also be up for stomping your brother and his friends. If we can do that maybe he won't be so eager to join our server again.

And I could use it after those last two game I played last night. Ouch. I can barely sit down.

Yeah, YOU won't have this problem. Crustaceans on the other hand get left behind quite often (it's the short stubby legs).

Oh god, don't even talk about being an ass on vs/scavenge

I'm like a maelstorm of rage when my team is fail.

One time on dead center, where the survivors shoot out the mall store window and shut off the alarm on the upper floor. I smoke the last one, and the other survivors decide to go ahead.

A spitter and hunter are both right next to me. They're just staring at me. I start YELLING on the mic GO GET THE OTHERS (and some unnecessary profanity thrown in). The spitter finally decides to help...by not spitting and clawing my guy instead. The hunter I think was attempting to pounce to the other floor, then instead misses and falls back to the first floor. I don't see him again until I kill the guy I'm smoking, catch up to the other suvivors, and attack them.

I think Psych uses some extra peripheral while gaming. Not my cup of tea but to each his own.

Something seriously needs to be done about that. It had happened to me in Parish and drove me nuts. If your in the finale exit, you should be invulnerable because it was hard enough getting there, especially on expert.

All in all a great run though.

One one more expert map for me. Parish...oh how I hate your finale on expert.

Thanks for the mention Tempest. I can't feel too bad about that ending because aside from that, the whole run went perfectly.

That's karma for stealing my spot, you bastard!

Just kidding. I blame Tempest. I leave to go take the Browns to the Super Bowl, and when I come back, the expert run is on, and I'm on the outside looking in. Don't worry, I put on some Celion Dion and cried myself to sleep. Then spent the rest of the night humping Psych's head.

But Psych you had 2 of the greatest charges on me last night! One picked me up 1 way drop so I could save a teammate, and the other tossed me over another 1 way drop to go save a teammate.

You were our MVP of Dead Center last night
