Post a Picture - Something You Created!

Just as an experiment i've thrown up one of my cute monsters up on Redbubble to see if i get any response and/or if i get anything from it worth talking about (you only get a few pennies per sticker sold this way, realistically).

If you know anyone who collects stickers and or likes cute D&D monsters, maybe send them this way! Thanks!

(I've removed all the extra text from this, so it's just the adorable Jelly Cube on a nice clean circular sticker).

It's adorable. Good luck!

I made something!

It's part of a logo for my wife's nerdy bakery. I made it from scrach in a vector drawing program. It's supposed to be me and my wife as cupcakes. Obviously.

WTG!
Very cute and I wouldn't say nerdy at all... (needs more pew pew)

Whoops! Disclaimer, I did not make this cake, I was posting it in relation to the cupcake comment. My bad!

Unlicensed nuclear accelerator?

cute logo astralplaydoh!

and nice cake, Cartoonin!

I did not realize it was a cake. Thanks for figuring that out for me.

Very cool cake.

A wee bit of art for my next D&D character (for a sea/pirate themed campaign) - A Sorceress/Cleric who is all about the thunder and lightning

... and a thing I'm working on for a friend's birthday (she likes ladybirds). I'm thinking i'll get it made into a keyring or something similar. (Text is WIP)

I finally got back to working on an art project that’s been nearly three years in the making. I go through flow states with this project where I’ll have a week of pure creative energy and make massive progress, and then other times when months pass and I just look and am scared of screwing it up.

I’ve finally got to a place where I’m ready to tackle the final stretches of my Quote Tree. I’ve carved 25/96 words into the crayon trunk and am carving out at least three more each evening. For a long time I was focused on perfection. Now I’m just soaking in the art of crafting with my hands, pouring love into this little wax trunk, and getting ever closer to the beautiful work I dreamed up 3 years ago.

Posting my progress here for accountability. I want to finish the word carving by the end of the month and then get to the final construction and putting all the pieces back together.

For those who haven't seen it, , Trichy has posted up a new weekly drawing prompt thread to get the creative juices flowing a bit.

First prompt is "Nighttime Raid" and is active until next tuesday. Do join in if you feel inclined!

my entry for the first week of the above drawing prompt challenge

I mean, you guys can try, but my lack of artistic skill is pretty freaking amazing... Just sayin'.

SHADOWRUN ART SQUEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Umm ugh *cough cough* sorry I mean fragging awesome chummer.

That ladybug is really cool. The D&D cuties are great.

I think people sell stuff like that on Etsy? As stickers I mean. I use to follow an artist on Instagram who drew Star Wars characters as adorable cartoons. I think she would sell them as stickers on Etsy. But that would mean you would have to do self promotion on social media.

I walked away from Instagram years ago.

Have you ever considered hiring someone to do the social media promotion for you?

Spoiler:

My friend is in a band. They’re pretty good, but they use to be terrible. Back when they weren’t so great he did his own social media promotion. Even back then he was able to get tons of fans and sell tee shirts. At one point he hired a service to promote his band on social media. He didn’t use them for very long because they didn’t do much more than he was already doing. By that I mean non stop self promotion.

i actually just ordered a bunch of them as a test run of stickers, and I also got a test print of the beholder as a clear acrylic badge (recycled plastic)...

REALLY like how the beholder badge turned out.

Getting a decent number of these printed is out of my price range at the moment sadly, but what I was thinking I might do is get some more sample runs of maybe three more designs, and then see if I can do something with crowdfunding for them.

But putting the stickers on Etsy sounds like a plan, too. Going to sort all of this out properly after September and I get some surgery out of the way.

I would totally buy a beholder refrigerator magnet.

And a gelatinous cube.

Yeah, I want a Cube and Mimic vinyl for my car.

I have a no sticker policy for my car. But I would totally make an exception for your D&D cuties.

My favorites so far are:
carrion crawler
Stirge
Beholder
gelatinous cube

Oh I love the beholder on acrylic. Would also make a good keychain/ dice bag charm. I've seen a few artists do Kickstarter to get the up front funds for these things, though of course that comes with its own set of hurdles.

Technically, any sticker could be a mimic sticker.

It does, but it's probably the only way i can afford to actually get the things made in the first place at the moment. I'm going to take a proper look into this after i've got the first half of September out of the way. I know someone locally who does small kickstarters for her sticker/pin stuff so i'll maybe ask her for some advice on how best to approach it.

For my patreon backers (at $5 up) I have now added six more tokens to what will hopefully be a big pool of unique 5e character and monster tokens for use in Roll 20, or to print out, etc.

On top of the Umberhulk and Mimic tokens already in there, I've added the six tokens from my next Dms Guild supplement ("Rosna's Vault") which is (thankfully!) ALMOST finished (more on that later).

These are...

IMAGE(https://smackfolio.files.wordpress.com/2019/08/tokens-preview.jpg)

- An infernal zombie type character
- Two (count em) infernal zombie characters fused together
- Rosna herself (could double as a mage or rogue character of some sort)
- Rosna's Imp companion, Xyxnyx
- A possessed human character
- and (my favourite of the bunch) a gender ambiguous Erinyes Devil.

(Forgive the watermarking but want to make sure these are kept for patreon backers only as much as possible)

If someone steals your work it means that your work is REALLY good. And your work is REALLY REALLY good. Yes. Protect yourself.
