I was so sure Lana was voiced by Katey Sagal, of Married w/Children & Futurama fame, but it is in fact someone else entirely, Aisha Tyler.
I wish I had the chance to see Aisha at Charlie Goodnights a month or so ago, she is funny as hell, gorgeous, and intelligent as all get out...I'll be in my bunk.
And a dedicated gamer, last I remember. I saw one of her standup specials on TV, and while I thought it was meh, I'm still a fan of Aisha anyway.
Is this show finally up on Hulu/FX? I'm getting really peeved at only having been able to see one episode.

Q. F. T.
Did I mention that she also brews beer?
Unfortunately nobody's watching it. It's been shedding viewers steadily over it's run up until the last couple weeks, but it's still doing pretty badly, even by cable show standards.
800k sounds about right for an edgy animated show. That's about what Cartoon Network gets for one of its shows, if I remember correctly. The key is going to be whether FX is willing to accept that low but hardcore viewership and maybe get a piece of the DVDs.

I found out about the show because Aisha was a guest on Chelsey Lately (great idea, the target market for the show watches Chelsey)
She said it was great to get away with the dialogue her character gets.

That's the thing. Where I can see Cartoon Network doing that it's harder to picture FX doing it. They have other shows that draw more viewers, and they're seeing competing cable network shows consistently outperform Archer at the same time slot. Remember, this is a Fox channel.

You're right, that's an issue. The advantage that they have with their animated show is that it's dirt cheap to produce versus the scripted live-action shows its competing against. Could be nearly as profitable. It's not like they have to pay the voice actors all that much.
I'm curious whether they also consider the number of viewers who Tivo it. I rarely watch the thing live, but I still see all the commercials (at fast forward, naturally, but I still see them).

Ratings now consider Live, Live minus one week and live minus two weeks. I can't find the article I read right now but they found a large number of people who don't fast-forward through commercials. That makes my brain hurt.

You also have to remember, this show is made by the same people that did two of Cartoon Network's major shows-- I'm betting the Programming Director at FX knows what they're getting into, and is well aware of the demographic and ratings this type of show garners. And more often than not, most shows nowadays make most of their money from the DVD sales, don't they?
So, in the 2010 TV shows thread it was revealed this was indeed picked up for another season. So yay for that.
On the other hand, no new episode of Archer this week. Is it on break like everything else?

Didn't know about that. Great news.
After checking wikipedia.
Season 2: 2011[4]
On February 22, 2010 the FX Network announced that they had ordered a 13-episode second season of Archer, due to premiere in 2011.
There's also this in reference to season one.
ordered six episodes, along with an additional four scripts.
Going by those two quotes looks like there is possibly one more episode in production (hopefully more) and then we wait a year for season two.
There are 10 episodes in the first season and 13 in the second. The last three episodes of S1 start airing on March 4 with the finale on March 18.
I just saw "Honeypot" on Hulu.
Sweet god, I love this show.
I just saw "Honeypot" on Hulu.
Comcast OnDemand seems to have all the episodes in SD and HD. Hulu looks a few weeks off.
This has just started showing on this side of pond and it's the first show in a while that has had me laughing this hard. Two episodes in and loving it so far. Glad to hear it's getting a second season.
A bump to remind people that the season finale is tonight.
Just the tip!
Danger zooooooooone!!!
I'm fully caught up with the show now, been watching the episodes over the last couple of days.
This show is like the Pele of anal.
Ah, you know, these guys just know how to end a show. They always end with a good laugh. So, so awesome.
I loved the finale, I also liked that there wasn't some huge cliffhanger for the first season either.
Lana: Don't say a word.
Pat/Pam (I can't recall now): I can't tell anyone?
Lana: No I mean during, I want to fantasize you are (someone I didn't hear the name of).
Funken broke the page. Figures. He breaks everything.
Danger zooooooooone!!!

Sometimes it's nice to be so easily amused.
Someone call Kenny Loggins. I am sure he is curious as to why his song spiked in popularity in recent weeks.

I played it fast and I played it loose and in the end I got burned. I'm a loose cannon.
