Bayonetta Catch-All

Loved this on the 360. I'll probably pick it up on PC... just to have it

The game hasn't aged a minute, even the presentation is still spectacular today. PC-version runs beautifully, no issues at all, and loading times have been completely eliminated.

Yeah, finished up a PC playthrough and it's still the best character action game ever. The only downside of the PC port is the loading is too short. You gotta really time the select button to hit the training room

I'm pretty sure

*camera flash* *camera flash* *camera flash* *soothing jingle*
*gunshots* *medal jingle*
*blow kiss* *shatter*

is the most satisfying post action sequence in any game, especially after you just got done flawlessly dancing around Grace & Glory.

Also, thought this video about the enemy design was a good watch.

It's not Bayonetta but f*ck YES!

Having both these gems on PC is amazing.

I shoulda bought Bayo when it was discounted so I could've gotten the discount on Vanquish!

Really, I'll probably hold off on Vanquish until confirmation that there's good mouse support. My crappy aiming with controller was what made me hold off on tracking down an Xbox copy before the port was announced. No way I could aim as fast as Vanquish wanted me to.

Yesss! Most importantly: the framerate is fully unlocked. I would've been fine even with 60 but was a bit worried that they might have tied too much logic to the 30 fps the console versions ran at. Even in the state the console release was in and being forced to play with a controller on top of that I enjoyed the game enough to play through it multiple times, can't wait for this version!

Hopefully mouse support is good...

Rise from your gra... wait, does 6 months count as "necromancy"? Anyway...

Last night, I finished my playthrough of Bayonetta - all streamed on Twitch (by the way )

The combat is fun, the enemy-designs are amazing, and the boss-fights are really interesting (once you figure out what you're "supposed" to do) - this game is (still) gorgeous.

So, finished on Normal... which unlocks Hard - holy f*cking hell! It's stupid-hard. It's not just "more hp, and enemies hit harder" - there are different, and more enemy-types, AND they're waaaay more aggressive. They seem to have shorter (ie: faster) animations, too. I haven't even been able to get past THE FIRST STAGE o.0

I'm still going to try, but MAN...

Just wait till you get to infinite climax (hardest), end game enemies show up in the first scene of that.

Well... I spent 2.5 hrs fighting 2 "mini-bosses" (Glorys) on a flaming, crashing, broken plane's wing - where I have to string together a hundred strikes, without taking any hits, myself - so I can execute a "finisher" - THREE f*cking TIMES!!!

Hard mode isn't just hard, it's "un-possible"! All the button-mashing... my hands couldn't take it anymore...

I might try again, but... ugh

tl;dr - Bayonetta was too hard, so I switched to Dark Souls (NG).

I made it through all but the hardest difficulty level, but getting through the harder ones definitely required me grinding for lollipops. (I also made a point of doing Easy, because if I recall correctly, that unlocks something?)

Harder ONES!?! There's harder than HARD!?

If it was more of a NG, where I still keep all my unlocks, etc... Maybe, I could do it... maybe.

The hardest difficulty disables Witch Time, I don't quite remember if the encounters are ramped up beyond their hard counterparts aside from that.

Also, you do keep all of your unlocks, there's a weapon I'm pretty sure you would not be able to get otherwise.

Unless you get your stuff back, after the Prologue... I can't even air-dodge, yet. It's too much for my "old-man hands".
