"Irrational Behavior" -- The new Irrational Games Podcast

This is great! As a software developer, I love listening to these kinds of things

A new episode is up, discussing Thief, voice acting, and stealth masturbators.

Thief! Love that game, can't wait to check it out.

Seriously, if you asked me what one topic I would like to hear these guys talk about, that would be it.

Now if only they could do a Harmonix/Irrational co-podcast and get Eric Brosius and Greg LoPiccolo on there to discuss it too. But that's kinda like the kid wishing his divorced parents would get back together.

I promised them I would eat all my broccoli if they worked on Thief 4.

How so? Was there any acrimony between said parties when they went there separate ways? I never got that impression but I always thought they just wanted to work on different things.

They said that Thief 4 was in development.

But at Eidos Montreal. I don't think anyone from any of the previous Thief games is on that team.

It is, at Eidos. Irrational isn't involved.

edit: bah, beaten by Gravey!

Too bad none of them are involved in Thief 4. Listened to the podcast this morning, great stuff. Love the way they discuss things. Maybe it's because I'm one of those guys who absolutely needs "behind the scenes" info on things he's interested in.

Is Thief4 by the same team who are working on DeusEx 3? I would guess if so that Eidos can't be much further that pre-production, maybe I'm wrong though.

http://eidosmontreal.com/en/games.html There are two pictures, guessing they are different teams. Either that or the left picture for DeusEx 3 has the whole studio on it.

It seems like Sean Elliott is a good fit with the Irrational crew. I'm really digging this podcast.

The latest podcast announced that on 8/12 Irrational will be revealing the game that they have been working on for several years.

I just listened to the most recent, short podcast tonight. It was roughly 5 minutes of phone calls from fans speculating about what the next Irrational project would be, and a minute of Shawn Elliot announcing that they would release a trailer on 8/12. Then they played a phone call by a guy that sounded a lot like Ken Levine talking about some twisted sounding game in which you mow down civilians from a helicopter. I thought it was a joke, but the more I listened the more I wondered if it was some kind of hint. Very strange.
