Name that movie thread

Yeah, I've seen it. I'd tried looking through my Netflix stuff to refresh my memory but couldn't figure it out. Good one, Thin_J.

The International.

And Grenn gets it. Shocking.

Doh, I forgot that movie when I was trying to remember Clive Owen films.

Couldn't get Shoot 'em Up out of your head?

No matter how hard I try.

I avoided shots with Naomi Watts and Owen together specifically because that made IMDB'ing it too easy, and avoided shots from the gunfight in the Guggenheim because... well that's a pretty specific thing.

Even "generic background and an actor in a suit that's probably been in 100 movies in 100 similar shots in the last few years" isn't enough to thwart Grenn for more than thirty seconds

*Also, I got The Man From Nowhere because of the first shot. The old lady in that pic, there's this scene where the cops break in and she just ignores them completely and keeps eating her noodles. It's like, f*ck you guys, I'm hungry over here. It's frozen in my memory for some reason.

Here's the thing. I've never see that movie.

You should, The International is a pretty good thriller. The Man From Nowhere is one of the best movies I've seen in years. Loved it.

Edit: Tougher Than Leather?

I have seen The Man from Nowhere. Best fight scene I've seen in a while and no that is not Tougher than Leather.

I'm really just trying to get you all to watch the clip I posted in the post-a-video thread.

Arise! I watched this last night. Excellent movie.

I have one more shot that I can post if nobody gets it. I thought this one was pretty unforgettable, though.

I'd be a pretty rubbish Australian film fan not to recognise the Peter Weir classic "Picnic at Hanging Rock"

Man! I have not been watching a lot of movies lately. Kind of fallen out of "film buff" status over the last few years.

Yes! My coworker was mentioning that he watched The Orphanage recently and it reminded him of Picnic at Hanging Rock. So, I had to watch it. Fortunately, it's part of the Hulu+ Criterion Collection stuff.

Here was the other cool shot that stuck out. I think it was just before or just after that previous one.

You're up!

I don't get around to it often either but am always glad when I do. I wish I had some friends who were into it. I'd love to have a weekly movie night. It can be hard to motivate yourself to watch something a bit more meaty on your own.

Yeah, that's pretty much where I stand. I still love watching films ( a distinction from movies), but more often than not I'm with my wife who isn't into films like I am. So things like Criterion Collection are generally right out out, even Kurosawa. Which angers me.

There are Australian movies without Yahoo Serious?

lol. The only one I knew he wasn't in was Mad Max...

I've been making a conscious decision over the last few days to do this - I watched half of Eraserhead & half of Olivier's Richard III on Hulu the other day.

Don't leave us hanging, Maq.

He left us hanging.

Awesome movie, though it ended in kind of a weird spot.

Srsly, Grenn. Srsly.
