Name that movie thread

The Devil Wears Prada?

The devil says nada. (See? D'ya see what I did there?)

EDIT: Here it is again on the new page:

I'm going to stop guessing randomly. I haven't seen any of those movies other than Get Smart. There are only 15 movies with her on IMDB.

Rachel Getting Married? Haven't seen it, but I know she gets all drugged up and gets out of rehab in it, and she looks drugged up and in rehab.

Aaaand back to you, WipEout.

(And if I may -- it should be seen. Rachel Getting Married was, I think, one of the best flicks of '08.)

Curious to see how long this one takes.

You may not, sir!

Actually, I figured this thread is just a really fun way of recommending movies. And I do plan on seeing Rachel Getting Married at some point, I've only heard good things about it.

This one feels like I should know it, but I'm drawing a complete blank. I'm going with two guesses, both of which I know are wrong:

La Jetee (Wrong color on the suit, plus it looks, y'know, in motion.)
2010: The Story Continues Peter Hyams Has the Stones to Sequelize Kubrick The Year We Make Contact (Only astronaut-on-earth picture I can think of right now.)

Pistols at dawn, sir! Pistols. At. Dawn.

Agreed.

The variety of interesting/weird/awesome flicks on display here make me want to start paying more attention to my sadly dormant Netflix queue.

As for Rachel Getting Married, it's hard to argue with a pedigree that includes a) Demme's best since, probably, Silence of the Lambs, b) Sydney Lumet's daughter on the screenplay, and c) Anne Hathaway -- when she's not being, you know, incredibly hot -- also proving that she's an amazing actress.

This is the good one. The really, really good one.

Andromeda Strain?

Ninja Edit: If I'm right someone else post something, I'm going to bed.

Nope, all wrong.

One more try and I'll give you a clue

E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial. (Doesn't look like Cali, and I always kinda zone out whenever the government shows up in Act III, but that's another try.)

That "new" Prodigy music video?

Didn't take another screengrab, but here's another pic. I hope this doesn't give it away.

EDIT: Sorry it's a PNG, I didn't realize until it was uploaded.

Well considering you did not include the pic I think it won't give it away.

EDIT: I guess you edited the post while I was posting mine...don't I feel like the dumbass now.

Guns N Roses Rock the World?

Ye-- no. But I'd like to see that one.

Hardware? The second pic certainly looks like some of the crazy wasteland people from that, anyhow.

K, last clue:

Elvis is dead-- who will be the new King?
PS. Mike: no. But a movie called Hardware about post-apocalyptic guys in top hats sounds very interesting to me.

Ash?

Ash was always the King, Elvis was just keeping the crown warm.

I really want to tell you guys, but I bet someone who knows is sleeping now.. .We'll wait until tomorrow morning for this one

Dang. I missed getting to post my movie pic (my fault for posting a trivia pic that looked, at a glance, like my turn.) I may have to sneak my one in next.

Six String Samurai

You got it. You're up, and I think maybe Higgledy is awaiting his turn as well.

I'm surprised that took so long. But then, I didn't check this thread for, like, hours.

It looks like a... unique film. Is it worth seeing?

I would say so. It's totally off the wall. I enjoyed it, but I like weird things. Were you able to sit through Eraserhead? Then you can make it through SSS. (Not that they're anything alike, but ya know.)

My guess for Evilseed's movie is Infernal Affairs. I don't recognize that actor at all.

Definitely not Infernal Affairs (unless it's the third one, which I never did see), but I am getting a Christopher Doyle vibe from that screen cap. Hmm. Some Wong-Kar Wai movie maybe?

I'm thinking I might have seen it but can't remember the name.

Edit: Is it 'A bittersweet life?'
