Any photographers in the house?

Glad you guys like 'em since that's pretty much all I've been able to find to shoot lately.

Tried making a bit of an abstract art from a cell phone photo of some raindrops on my car roof this morning

That's dope, I like it!

Wow! All those pictures on this page are great!

Incredible!!!!

Took some great long exposure shots at the local semi-state fair, The Big E. Rides at night really make for some cool effects!

Does anybody have any recommendations for photo negative/slide/film scanners? They don't have to be full size bed photo scanners, I just worry my pile of negatives might get ruined some day. I don't necessarily have bundles of cash, but I was looking for a good one in the sub $150 range.

Thanks in advance!

The Canon 9000F Mark II is "the good one" but around $600. I got the old version used and it's pretty good. It didn't come with the negative holders but I can borrow those from a friend who happens to have them. You might look at used options on those older models instead of buying a $150 new one. At least spec them. I will say the Canon scan software is nice, fast, and easy to use. You can really work through scans quickly.

I would go flatbed over the other types having used other styles before, I found them... bad.

My husband has one of the PlusTek models, not sure which one. Those do seem to come in above your price point, unfortunately.

For some reason I'm a bit enamored with the idea of the new Fuji x100v. Anyone have opinions about the Fuji line? Maybe experience with it's soon to be predecessor?

I'm a Fuji shooter - X-T2 and X-T3 primarily - I'm very happy with the line. The X100 line is good for travel cameras, but the fixed lens doesn't really fit with my needs

I have a nice Nikon with lenses but have been thinking of having something nice for walk abouts.

I like this shot of one of our porch lights on today's cloudy day.

I made some cedar plank salmon on the grill and enjoyed a lovely backyard evening. The scent of tree pollen is heavy and intense, and it's just starting to sprinkle, so the rain smell is there too. I love our backyard porch light setup.

I still absolutely love that shot of that bulb.

Here's the latest. I'm going to start taking more photographs as of now. Sorry all.

My partner has a lot of Swedish heritage and received one of the hand painted horses recently. The colors are beautiful.

You're making me crave Swedish pancakes with Lingonberries. My hometown of Rockford IL has a lot of Swedish heritage and a favorite restaurant called the Stockholm Inn that I haven't been to in years.

I really like the bulb and the shoes. I think in the show imagine the soft focus lace on the left adds some nice structure.

I’ve started taking a few as well in this isolation but have also found myself taking a lot of time lapses of clouds as a way to get out of this space a bit.

Didn't know this thread. But I love taking pictures.

Last saturday we had some play time again.

First some normal portrait

Then the good ol' mirror-shot

IMAGE(https://g3.img-dpreview.com/84C597DAF0CC41DEA7EA8026E0B71889.jpg)

and last some syrup

I saw this sort of pose with syrup before, created by a dutch guy named vdwal or something like that. So it's not my own "idea", but every picture has been taken before.

Looks like those images are maybe not set to public Peoj Snamreh but would look forward to seeing them.

Oh my.. how do I do that?
EDIT: Fixed - I hope.-

They are viewable now and look very nice.

Yum! I want to go there.

I love the mirror photos Peoj! I still like doing film selfies with a mirror because you can include the camera used.

There were a lot of great actual portraits, but this is the one I'll choose to post here for posterity. Good lighting!

Took my first walk in nature in a while today:

Oh! That zoom lens is working really great at giving a good depth of field on birds. Not sure if I'll ever crawl down that rabbit hole, but I love birds.

You've been using a mirrorless, yes? IIRC

We had a Great Blue Heron just plop down on a neighbor's roof in downtown Portland the other day. It was crazy. Wish I had a zoom lens for that.
