"Left 4 Dead" Catch All

This is great because we have the huge TF2 PC community and I'm sure almost all of us will be Co-Opping together for this game. I cant wait!

Shacknews has got some game play up.

This makes me wish I had a better PC. As it stands now I can only run TF2 at the very lowest settings.

This game is been on my list for so long. It’s kinda been on my media blackout list but since I'm so excited I break that rule often. Is there an official release date yet?

I have 4 friends from college that I play games with to keep in touch. This game seems perfect.

I think I'm going to have to set Teamspeak/Vent to "push to talk" so they don't hear my girly screams.

Oh my. That shotgun looks like it's got some heft to it. I give it the Chumpy Two-Headed Seal of Approval!(tm)

The characters look like regular people. That's what I was hoping for.

This game is going to rock some socks that is all there is too it. I hope they have an open beta ala TF2 for preloaders.

We also learn that Left 4 Dead, which includes 20 maps stretched over four "movies", will likely get a movie viewer down the line that will allow gamers to watch their entire game session as a movie after a playing through a chapter.

That's going to be a huge amount of content.

Kotaku has an interview with Doug Lombardi...

[edit]Nothing really new though...

I will purchase this entertainment product, etc, etc. I'm not the biggest zombie fan, but this looks like pure, drunken fun. And the dynamic difficulty -- if pulled off as described -- could be a tremendous boon... especially when drunk.

I think you're really on to something here.

This game is going to make me really scared.

I'm trying to quantify, the amount of drunken screaming there will be during GWJ Co-Op matches that first week after it releases. I don't think I can come up with a reasonable measurement.

Basoongas. It's a power of 13 above bananas.

6 out of 5

Edit: I just have to add that I love the trend towards online coop and diverse coop modes. For the last two years, gamers have been quite vocal about getting more coop and devs are answering back bigtime (probably due to the success of those few coop games more than actually listening to customers, heh)

You guys are the best.

I will buy this. I will beg fellow goodjers to play it with me. That is all.

I'd be surprised if you had to beg too much. I don't think this will be another Ship (man, that game had such potential...); if we're lucky, it'll be another TF2. It should be at least a Gears.

Remember to buy on the PC. Then its 2 powers of 13.

Boogle, I am going to SO hit your character with a car door.

Or possibly vomit on you. And it will all be on glorious PC.

That is my solemn promise.

I will definitely be buying this, also for the person that asked the release date, I believe its November 7th

Same day as Gears 2 but two great games that day

I will be preloading this on PC and eventually get it for 360 as well.

Same day...election day. Boy, it's going to be hard to decide which to play first...and which one to play all night. Definitely a day to skip work...and I'd better vote early, lest I get too deep into brain munching.

EDIT: Wait...Nov. 7 is a Friday. Something is fishy here. I had pegged it as a first-Tuesday in November thing. Oh well (I'll leave the rest of my post to show my ...slowness?), which am I going to play first?

Nah, no need. I've got a big poster of Gabe hanging on the ceiling in my bedroom (right next to the one of CliffyB).

Wait, did I really just write that??

I believe the release date is November 4th in the States, November 7th in the UK/Europe.

This will be the game that makes me buy a headset.

You guys make me want this day 1.

Ok I admit it! the hype has got me... I want to sell things to get this game FAST VALVE FASTER DAMN YOU!!!!

I'm going to stock up on liquor now so I'm ready then. Between this and the "no fail" option in Rock Band, developers are seemingly finally targeting the crucial, untapped drunken bastard market. I'll scream in bleary-eyed glee! Something about 4 against the shambling hordes simply begs for drunken tomfoolery. I solemnly pledge to provide it.

First time I've ever found a site broken for me in Firefox and IE. Truly their mojo is beyond me.
