So, why'd you pick your little GWJ forum picture?

Huh, I never posted here.

I chose mine because 1) Plants vs Zombies is rad, and 2) because I purchased the physical object and took the photo myself, which means I should be in the clear with respect to copyright. Most videogame related images you can find online have some kind of copyright restrictions associate with them.

Just changed mine! I like beer, I like bikes! Win/Win!

Unfortunately not a very good pic of my bike hat-- that's a bear riding a bike with a Hamm's on a platter (under the bill, the bear has fallen and spilled the beer).

I saw cool Final Fantasy III art when browsing wikis. I really like the style of the art. Plus, the one in my avatar has a full head of flowy blonde hair like I did in my youth. Now I'm older and have none.

Back in '09 or so after having a cake avatar for such a long time I decorated it for Christmas. Now I'm just too lazy, if I keep it around for 3 more months it'll be Christmas in July and I'm no longer in the wrong.

Because I'm half Norwegian.

And people just need to grow the f*ck up.

Mine was sent to me in a PM, and I was told it was my new avatar image. Is this a repeatable thing? Who knows?

Grim Fandango is one of my favorite games, and I've used this picture of Manny at his computer for an avatar before, so I decided to throw it onto GWJ too.

I've been on a Prisoner kick lately. I finally watched all the episodes about a year ago or so. The bicycle seemed like a nice image for forums. I also used it when I finally set up a Facebook account - "I am not a number! I am a free man!"

I was wondering if that was a Prisoner reference, or just one of those old bikes. Now I know.

I like kraken and it has a vaguely Greyjoy/HP Lovecraft feel to it. But I may change it again soon.

My avatar is from my favorite CRPG ever, Wasteland. As I said a long way back in the thread, there was no artwork of the proton axe, so I picked the Scorpitron instead.

I missed or forgot that previous post, but you just made me aware of two Easter Eggs in Old World Blues that had gone over my head.

Thanks!

Shatner=cool.

Shatner + laser rifle=rad cool

ZOEY!!!!

I did that. If you need an update, just go with no image for a bit and let me know!

(Mine just changed to Captain Klutz. It's appropriate.)

After a lot of Half-Life 2 love in previous avatars, I decided it was Thief's turn. But how to fit the pipe bomb with a strange Keeper glyph? It doesn't mesh with eldritch symbols like it does with modern graffiti. Then it hit me, how to make it work in an appropriately Keeper-y way—and lo! there was created the cleverest thing I have ever done on this forum.

Specifically, this thing.

Yeah, it weird-ed me out the first time I saw you post several times on the same page. I hit Ctrl+F5 like three times to get rid of the cached version.

I'm kind of holding out for the tag thread and encouraging people to suggest tag/avatar pairings.

I love me some paintball and this was the best avatar i could find on the subject.

Mine was getting a bit long in the tooth, so I just changed it (F5, F5, F5!). Here's the awesome full picture from which it was cropped:

By the way, have I mentioned that you should really, really play 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors?

It was just too sexy to pass up, Lela.

Demyx introduced me to Venture Brothers a year or two ago and Rusty resonated with me. *shrug*

That's a pipe bomb? I assumed it was a Wii remote >_>

I found the site while I was at work, and we had a nice stack of HP dl380s sitting nearby, so I snapped a pic.

Just wait until I change to my Big MacChicken, though.

Mustache.

Internet!

Interesting. I had assumed if was from a FFT game. Correct universe, but wrong game.

Mine is a character I like from a webcomic called Homestuck.

Thousands of pages of surreal weirdness and bizarre humor!

Rock breaks scissors. But paper covers rock, and scissors cut paper! Kiff: we have a conundrum.

I picked mine because it's Gaara, and nobody is more badass than Gaara.

That's pretty true.

Mine is a guy shooting himself in the head to summon his Persona. It helps that he looks just a little crazy doing it, because you'd have to be completely nuts to do it without question like he does.

How do you have 2 posts in a row with 2 different avatars? How come the old one didn't change?

He has two pictures on top of each other drawn with the two forum background colors. When his post is on the light gray background, the darker gray drawing appears; vice versa when his post is on the darker gray background.

It's insanely clever, and I wish I'd come up with it. Best avatar on the site, in my opinion.
