The final episode of Blackadder is a common catalyst for my allergies..
This, Plus documentaries about people that have been awarded the Victoria Cross. It's usually awarded Posthumously.
Monsters Inc
Finding Nemo
Up
Toy Story 3 (hmm... I detect a pattern here)
Field of DreamsI've definitely grown more emotional the older I get. Probably due to getting married, having kids and losing my dad. I get choked up by some pretty cheesy stuff nowadays. It's usually because of the music that goes along with particular scenes...
When tough little boys grow up to be dads/they turn into big babies again

Love that song.

Oh man that was such a downer. I think the emotional crash at the end after all the comedy made it hit all the harder.
So awesome!!

Don't spoil it too much, I'm only on season 2.

Spoilered for Quintin:
Yeh, I recently re-watched the fourth season, and I think that the ending is so brutal is partially because it's one of the funniest episodes up until the last five minutes

Self-quote double post? New crazy posting meme: Pulling a Taco.
Kick-Ass.
You can guess the scene.
(and no it wasn't "I'm getting the bazooka.")
Watching news footage of Japan. Libya too.
Edit - Watching This.
"I get it. You've taken me back to show me my parents, and I'm meant to go all blubbery. Forget it. You got the wrong guy."
"That's what Attila the Hun said. But when he saw his mom, Niagara Falls."
That's what the post title reminded me of

Amen, brother.
A lot of mine fall into fairly broad catagories:
- heroic/noble self-sacrifice (any of those posthumous medal awardings, for sure)
- parents outliving their children (especially young children)
Add in the sweeping orchestral strings, and a tear is nearly guaranteed.
*hrumpf, uhh, how 'bout those Bears. (skip to 1:25 or so)
I heard this episode of While the boys are away on BBC radio 4 on the way into Manchester today and welled up several times. It's the straight forward recounting of a mother's fears for her son as he went off to war and what happened after her worst fears came true.
(Sorry if you can't listen to this outside the UK. Not sure what the restrictions are.)

I hear Manchester can have that effect on people
Not to those of us who are from here - we are hardened by constant exposure, unlike yer Cheshire pooves.
Too many winks in a row.
This weeks The Moth podcast destroyed me.

Oh yes. I was already in a fragile emotional state. Eccles can do that to a person.
Had to turn the radio off on the way to work this morning during an interview with a woman whose husband was in Japan during the earthquake.
EM interference was definitely messing with my tear ducts.
This weeks The Moth podcast destroyed me.
I see what you mean.
Hopefully getting it out helped him and will help others in similar situations.
Star Trek II. Showing Mrs. Gravey the classic Trek movies. She didn't know Spock dies. We both got a little teary. Sorry for the spoilers.

Yeah. That episode gutted me.
By the time India hit the winning runs in the Cricket World Cup finals yesterday (a real World Cup, unlike the American ones) it was 2 AM so I went off to bed.
Been reading articles about some of the post-match interviews and some of the comments made by the players had me looking away from the screen in order to get a grip. I think if I see the actual video of these interviews, I'm gonna be an absolute wreck.
Real World Cup, fake sport.
Real World Cup, fake sport.
Now you're just being offensive.
Real World Cup, King of Sports.

He has to do that to deflect away from his extremely fragile ego.
As a dad, just about any time a child or father dies.
Lion King. "Dad, get up".
Fark it.
"I wish baseball had less action and more bunting."
Holy hell. My mom just emailed me this.
...damn dust in the vents...
