Blood Bowl game Catch-All

Lets have the game bee always only just to have a real RNG from the web. Some poos saps in Indochina rolling dice and feeding it into a terminal.

Okay gents, I've been playing some BB:LE the last two days and want to dive deeper. Where should I start with playing online?

Hit me up when you're looking for a game. I can walk you through some more advanced strategies. If Cayne is still around he was pretty good for teaching new players as well.

Wonderful, given you're here in Aus it shouldn't be so hard to line up a game. Might be keen on a game this weekend actually?

sounds good. Wife works on the weekend leaving me in charge of the one year old so my scheduling works around him. just be aware I may need to pause and run if he wakes up screaming.

Still here, still up for teaching just ping me on steam if you want a match we can do some voice chatting so we can discuss the finer points of strategy. Much easier than typing.

Thanks for the game Prozac, much appreciated. Looks like I've got a lot to learn.

Still very hooked on this game, kicking myself I wasn't on board earlier. Not having much luck getting pub games up though, let alone against my skill level.
Tips?

There was a very active user moderated league call F.O.L. (sorry can't remember what it stood for) not sure what they're like. Alternatively roll up a bunch of teams and enter them in the different pub leagues and have them all as active options for you when spinning for a random match. That'll increase your chances.

I'm down for matches if you see me online.

Prozac how does spinning work in pubbie leagues, when you spin are all your active teams available for matchups and if someone in the roughly same TV and in the same league also spins you get matched up?

Is F.U.M.B.B.L still going? Most of the international tournament folk played in that league.

Also feel free to friend me up for a game if you fancy it.

Any new-ish players looking for a starter league?

I joined the Reddit Newbie Blood Bowl League about 3 weeks ago, and have been really enjoying it. It started with 60 entrants, but there have been a few drop offs and they are looking for new players to jump in.

I know most of you are considered pretty experienced as far as Blood Bowl is concerned, but I thought it worth a try in case there are other players out there still learning, like me.

Saw this on cyanide studios's site.

Blood Bowl: Star Coach” is a tactical multiplayer team-building game. Dwarfs, elves, humans, and other foul creatures are back and, once more, they are determined to grind each other into the turf! Star Coach tasks the player with creating his own Blood Bowl team (choosing from different races and players) and the development of his own offensive and defensive playbook. The player will then challenge other coaches, no matter which digital platform they play on, and choose the strategy that best fits his opponent. The basics of this violent sport are simple: two teams, one ball. The team that carries the ball into the opponent’s end zone scores a touchdown, and the team with the most touchdowns at the end of the game is the winner. But, as with the original Blood Bowl, no holds barred violence and dirty tricks are allowed! Matches are resolved by an online server and a ranking system designates the best coaches. Coaches can develop their teams in a variety of different ways and have the opportunity to improve their teams by hiring Star Players or recruiting new staff. A ‘Cabalvision’ replay mode allows players to live out the blow-by-blow contest in full 3D!

The game is planned for release in the second quarter of 2013 on PC, Mac and tablets. Oh and it is free to play.

Also learned Blood Bowl the videogame is in its fourth year and had three expansion packs... Rebuying the whole game doesn't sound like an expansion pack to me?

Played the star coach beta and it was interesting. I didn't enjoy programming my players and not really playing the game. The beta is up on steam currently.

Got dungeonbowl recently and I actually enjoy it. The only real negative I have is some feature that kicks in around turn 20+ that gets rid of players every turn. Actually won a game just because I had more than my opponent. There also isn't any single player campaign. If they could add a mode where 3 or more could play at the same time they'd have a winner!

Anyway my name in dungeonbowl is brizahddb if you want a game.

The season I posted links to a while back has completed and went really well. Fourty teams between four divisions. We're soon to start up another season, if you're interested, most of it is going on on reddit, check in on this thread:

All welcome!

Just signed up to Reddit. Anyone fancy a game, UK time, but happy to do late on weekends, hook me up on Steam

I'm back. I wanna play again. In a league. Preferably GWJers but I'll take all comers.

I would but the timezone thing makes it unbelievably impractical. I'd be up for an EMEA region league if we have the people.

sh*t I can keep odd hours.
Say a 4 hour block (post time in UTC) and we'll get it going.
Boatmurdered Militia wants to come out of retirement.

Blood bowl 2, no idea when it will come out.

I guess I must join. Give me some details and I'll be happy to bring a noob squad in.

How will we do this? I've got 27 hours into this game but I played through Prozac's league.

Did someone say Blood Bowl?

I could be persuaded to come out of retirement. The GWJ Open League should still exist.

I'd love to play

It's still there Prozac. I'd love to get some games going again.

How many EMEA timezone folk do we have?
