The Official Trading Post

My 6yo son has started begging to get Pokemon Platinum. I went looking and this DS game sells for no less than $30 used, with no case, and as much as $100. Seriously, what happened to make this so sought after? I thought there would be so many copies you could just pick it up cheap anywhere. Is there anyone on here looking to get rid of their copy for a more reasonable used game price?

As a side note, he was thinking he can get it for Christmas when he asked only yesterday, but we keep telling him it's too late to add anything to the list. He's been constantly asking about different relatives and all sorts of creative measures to make it happen.

Does it have to be platinum or can it be the others in that generation? Just a thought

The fact that your 6yo son is begging for it suggests that a large number of other similarly-aged children are also probably begging for the game, which would explain the high price. I don't have a clue why that game in particular would be popular, beyond a fad in the 6yo crowd. FireIron has a good suggestion in finding out whether it has to be Pokemon Platinum in particular, or just a Pokemon game of some kind.

Daaaad! It has to be PLATINUM. The other ones are just DUMB.

Do you want me to be an outcast?

He fixated on Platinum due to watching a YT video, so without asking even more questions to determine why that game/version, I'm not sure. I finally did a bit of research and found out that Platinum is a 3rd version of a main pair. Guess I can ask a bit more. I've never cared about (or played) Pokemon, so where all the versions land exactly is a mystery to me.

Pokémon games, like most Nintendo first-party games, hold their value really well. Part of the reason with Pokémon specifically is that you can play the old ones to complete your Pokédex across generations. $30 for just the cart sounds normal to me based on my experience.

If this is the DS version, I got you, fam. Check your messages in just a few minutes.

I've got PS4 discs I no longer need since I grabbed the digital version for:
Middle-Earth: Shadow of War (no case)
Bloodborne
Last of Us Remastered

I'm just looking to get these to someone who wants to enjoy them, so they're yours individually or all together for the price of shipping. PM me if you're interested.

I've got an Oculus CV1 for sale (includes Touch controllers, two sensors, Xbox controller, tiny Oculus remote). It's adult owned and gently used. I love it but I got the Quest 2 for Christmas.

Pictures are available here.

If anyone wants to make me an offer, please do. I'm looking for about $175 shipped and I'd rather sell it here than on eBay. Some type of trade would also be considered.

Selling Immortals Fenyx Rising for the Switch. I love the game but have it on Stadia and don't need it on both.

$30 shipped. PM me if you interested.

Xbox One X, 1TB, white, with controller, along with disc copies of Control, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, and Sekiro, $215 shipped (within the US). Any takers?

I've got a Ryzen 7 5800x new in box, for cost+shipping, so around $460. No coffee grinders, US only.

Wound up getting both this and a 5600x at around the same time, and decided the 5600x was a better fit for my use case. Figured I'd put this one up here in case anyone's looking, and doesn't want to fight the bots. If there's no takers in a day or three, I'll probably just return it to Best Buy.

Sold!

You're a great person!

SOLD
I upgraded to some HDMI fiber optic cables so I no longer need this.
Very lightly used Nvidia Shield TV (4K) remote and controller on the block. Works amazingly well streaming from the PC (as long as you have an Nvidia card). Less than a year old.
Shield retails for $150.00
Controller retails for $60.
Asking $150 shipped.

Next on the block! Razer Leviathan 2.1 with virtual Dolby.

I went back to my full 5.1 setup so I no longer need this. It's incredibly good for its size and gets very loud while retaining clarity. Can sit on the desk or be wall mounted.

The only negative I have, as do a lot of reviewers, is the subwoofer cable. It's shorter than it should be, is proprietary, and needs to be handled gently. Works just fine.
IMAGE(https://hosting.photobucket.com/images/ah10/JCFedorczyk/IMG_8235.jpg)

Retails for 199.

Throwing in a longer stereo aux cable and a 15ft Toslink cable with a right angle adapter

Asking 150 shipped.

Selling a 1 tb PS4 pro, in great shape and working condition, with 2 black controllers and an official Sony charging stand from Japan. $200 plus shipping.

Looking for Mario Party 8 Wii.

I think I either lent mine away or I traded it in foolishly, and now my teenager wants to revisit her childhood and I can't find it at home. :sad panda:

Anyway, thought I'd ask around here.

Let me see which one we have. My kids don't like using the Wiimotes compared to JoyCons, so we may never play it again.

Yup, MP8 is what we have.

I might, but I'd have to check when I get home from work.

and garionhausered.

I def have it, but it is my wife's favorite game, which is why we still have it. So, it'd be a loaner, not a keeper.

Ah, then I'll still check and check with my wife as far as sending it out for good

Thanks guys lmk or PM me

Oops! Nope, we don’t have it at all. I really thought we did but now I’m remembering I tried talking my wife into us getting it but we never did. Sorry!

Thanks anyway @Antichulius.

@garion333 I'll be in touch, there's no hurry on this

I've still got an Xbox Elite 2 Wireless Controller. I ended up putting on some Dragon Grips because it felt way too smooth/slippery in my hands, and I can leave them on or take them off, whichever you prefer. I'm selling it because a) I'm in love with the Series X controller and b) I could really use the money.

Comes with everything originally included plus the installed Dragon Grips (or I can remove them, if you want). I may even still have the box (unsure, would need to confirm if you are expecting it).

Looking for $120 (including shipping).

So after months of watching Facebook Marketplace, I scored a full Rockband set and a 360 for $150. Good news it all works, bad news.. they were smokers and I didn't find out about that till I got home. Since everything is plastic, it has cleaned up nice, and I will take the 360 apart for a deep clean as well. However, the one thing missing, Rock Band 3 - Does anyone have a copy sitting on a shelf they no longer need? I'm hoping to gain access to all the songs that I previously had and all the imports, and what not, but a copy of RB 3 is required.
