The Official Trading Post

The micro failing likely had a lot less to do with backward compatibility not being included than it did with launching after the DS.

And if the DSi had pretty poor sales at 42 million units sold, I can think of a few companies that would happily fail so hard (including Nintendo).

Huh... I just assumed, as I never saw a single DSi in the wild being played by anyone ever. Plenty of GBA, DS, and 3DS, but never one of those.

So the Micro only plays Advance games, not GB Color, etc?

Correct. But its about the size of a small phone, and super handy for commutes. I need to go dig mine out and get back to playing some GBA games.

Man, y'all are making me wanna give the Micro another try...

It's the size of a small dumb phone, to be precise. It's like, half the size of my s4.

I had a 20th Anniversary Edition Micro, brand new in the box, but gave it to a friend of mine years back when I bought a DS. Of course, when I look at the price of these on eBay now, they're going for $100-$120. Oh well.

So this may sound a little strange. I have a Batman: Arkham Knight PC code that I'd like to sell. I'd like to sell it for $60 since you can't buy the game on PC right now, but I should sell it for $0, since it's busted.

I'm splitting the difference at $30.

This code expires July 31st, so there is a deadline.

I am so torn between searching for a micro and just getting an SP. I like that the SP has backwards compatibility, but I have never seen/touched/played a micro, so there is novelty in that thing too. The other side is, I have consistently found SP's for around $40-$50. Can't find a Micro for anything under $100 so far.

Get an SP. If you run into a micro in the wild some day, pick it up

If you want either, I've got a used movie place near me that has an SP for $40 and a micro for $65, plus tax. And shipping. PM me if you are interested.

I think I will go with the SP. I have a few options in my town for those. I appreciate the offer though!

Anyone interested in a copy of The Order for the PS4 for $20 shipped? It's short but it sure is pretty while it lasts.

I'll consider trades.

Ok, wanted to check. As an FYI, you have 30 days from the date of purchase, and this is for the 2 year accidental warranty.

Just putting it out there. Looking for the following games:

New Super Mario Bros. (DS)
Super Mario 64 (3DS)
New Super Mario Bros 2 (3DS)
Yoshi's New Island (3DS)(I think that's the title)

Wanted to add some games to that list:

Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon (3DS)
Animal Crossing: New Leaf (3DS)

And has anyone played Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, Order of Ecclasia, or Dawn of Sorrow? Wondering how those are...

I've played and enjoyed all three! It's been a little while, so I don't remember which one I liked best, but they're all good. In case it helps at all, one of the main differences between the three games are the primary mechanics behind the protagonist(s). I'm going on memory instead of wikis (though I did look up the character's names, as I didn't remember them all), so my apologies if I'm way off-base on anything :

Dawn of Sorrow's protagonist, Soma Cruz: He can absorb the soul of enemies, then equip them (up to two can be equipped, I believe) for varying active and passive effects. Specific souls can also be used to upgrade weapons (which permanently consumes the soul), which is a pretty neat mechanic.

Portrait of Ruin's protagonists, Jonathan and Charlotte: You directly control one of them at any given time (with the other following automatically behind), and have the ability to instantly swap control to the other. Jonathan is a melee character, and Charlotte is a magic user.

Order of Ecclesia's protagonist, Shanoa: She obtains glyphs from defeating enemies (and from other means), which she can equip (similarly to how Soma Cruz equips souls) to enable certain active and passive effects. She can have up to three glyphs equipped at any given time (one on each of her arms, and one from a smaller selection of special glyphs on her back) If I remember correctly, the glyphs she equips on her arms are mainly for active skills/attacks, while the large one on her back is more for passive and special effects.

As with many other Castlevania games, all three of these games have a great diversity of enemies, weapons, and settings!

EDIT: The prequel to Dawn of Sorrow, Aria of Sorrow (for the GBA and WiiU virtual console) is also quite good. It, too, features Soma as the protagonist.

...aaand, I'll stop now, since I'm off-topic. (sorry!)

No man, that was what I wanted to hear! Thanks.

Does anyone have any SNES games they would like to get rid of at reasonable prices?

What are you looking for? I have a small collection.

Well, of course, I'd really love earthbound and chrono trigger, but that's never gonna happen. I really don't have anything particularly specific at this point. Among a few others, I have:

A Link to the Past
Super Mario World
Mario Kart
Super Mario All Stars

Mystic Quest
NBA Jam
Aladdin
X-Men Apocalypse

I get depressed every time I check eBay, so I'm wondering if anyone on here has some fun games they don't need anymore.

I'd love anything Final Fantasy related.

I bought my cart of ChronoTrigger when the DS version came out for a not-unreasonable price -- like sub-$70 or so. No idea if it spiked or not

tuffalobuffalo wrote:

I might have a second copy of this cart, if you luck out with everyone else -- I'm not 100%, though, but I'll dig around and try and get back to you. PM me if you get another offer...

Oh, I have Super Mario World. I actually have two cartridges, one's better than the other. I would buy the hell out of Chrono Trigger at $70. Yeesh.
