Recommend me a gaming chair

Pages

My chair right now leaves much to be desired when it comes to a marathon gaming session. I figure if I am going to get a new chair I might want to give a chair with speakers a shot. I have read up on some chairs but have not found one that people are real happy with. Since these chairs are not available in stores (to my knowledge) I am reaching out to ant of you fine people who might have experience with the chairs. Based on my setup I do need a chair and not a rocker. Also, I would like to keep costs under 300 if possible.

Rabbit had a nice writeup on the Sumo Sack (or somesuch) awhile back. Would a giant beanbag chair fulfill your needs?

Not what you are looking for, but it made me laugh.

Has to be a chair. Somewhat limited on space available

What happened to that awesome locked thread about the guy with the pinched nerve?

8:41pm, 8:52pm, 8:57pm, 9:00pm that's some seriously impressive quadruple posting.

I bet he has a cat. In fact I bet he didn't even make the original post, rather his cat wants a more comfortable perch.

Nah. If it was a cat, his post would have looked like this:

Little known fact - cats aren't able to use the space bar. No opposable thumbs, donchano.

go to staples, sit in every chair. Pick one you enjoy.

Avoid microfiber it looks junky.

Reloading the page is posting again from my blackberry. Time to put it down and check after work.

Target has the legless gaming chairs with speakers built-in. I couldn't tell you whether they're any good though.

If space is limited, you should probably go for a chair.

Anyone else amused that DeThroned is looking to buy a chair? Will he have to change his name afterwards?

Question: Is space limited? Does it really have to be a chair?

This is an epic thread. I see a GWJ meme emerging. I can't wait for DeThroned's tagging.

With the limited space available, I recommend this chair.

Considering the limited space for a tag, I'd say it'd have to be "A Chair."

No it will be
"has to be a chair"
or
limited space

If he keeps checking GWJ on his blackberry it won't take long to hit the 1000 post mark.

I was thinking "limited space" myself.

Id suggest getting an inflatable excercise ball. They take up room but its going to be under your desk whenever you are not using it so that shouldn't be a problem.

Or you could string a hammock up and use it as a sling seat

That won't work you filthy skimmer, it has a to be chair because his space is very limited.

Limited space, has to be a chair, fit for a cat.... Here you go.

Avoid the chair altogether - go standing! I vastly prefer standing desk setups; though I admit to owning a drafters chair for the (now extinct) long-term sessions.

Close, but I think this would be a better fit.

His space is limited? Why was I not informed?
