Random thing you loathe right now.

OCZ. These guys used to make awesome stuff but lately they've turned into junk peddlers. I'm on my second Synapse Cache SSD after the first one failed. While in the middle of using my computer and just about to get the first time to play anything in a vacation week that's been anything but, the drive shuts down for no reason. The Dataplex software it uses to handle the caching is supposed to detect this and immediately disable itself to prevent corruption which it completely failed to do. If I boot up without the drive plugged in, it still doesn't realise it and now my Windows installation is corrupted. If I'm lucky, I might be able to System Restore out of it but I can't find my Windows CD and of course, paying $150 a year for TechNet means that ISO downloads apparently won't go faster than 400KB/sec so it'll take 2 hours to get a new one. If the System Restore doesn't work, I get to spend hours restoring a backup from 2 days ago. Meanwhile, Dataplex continues to think nothing's wrong. And OCZ wonders why their sales and stock price are tanking.

This after spending most of yesterday evening trying to troubleshoot our router which also died. This vacation week has been a total waste.

Last night's "What's for dinner?" argument ended with Taco Bell, and now I can't find a sad picture of Sasha Grey.

September to December.

With 2 kids in school, Halloween, and Christmas, this period of the year is just so damned money-tight. Coupled with a below average salary for the industry and region necessitating my working more hours to keep up, and being at a point in the company where there is no more room for me to move up, it just f***ing drains me.

We've had no Christmas bonuses to speak of for years, so I can't count on that to help. I've started some training to get a qualification that will help me into a new career, but my time away from work is for my family right now. After Christmas I will be able to really buckle down on it, but damn, I'm just frustrated right now.

You haven't stopped looking, of course.

I'm hard pressed to think of a reason why anyone would want Sasha Grey to be sad...oh wait...

Spending an entire weekend upgrading our system to find that it doesn't work. No reason why the program won't start just a hang that never stops.

Square those shoulders, and carry on. You'll be fine.

Oh har har. So it's a girl. Whatever, everyone else I know named Sasha/Sacha/Saha (all pronounced the same) are male.

Also, my apologies for not being up to speed on my porn stars.... sheesh.

? I was just continuing the Rhapsody. Didn't realize that would offend. My bad I guess?

Nothing personal, I was just responding to the whole thing and laughing at myself for being out of touch with pop culture and porn stars.

Thanks. I'm really a positive person, but lately I've been pretty frustrated at my situation.

I loathe the fact that you yahoos have stuck Bohemian Rhapsody in my head, and because I'm me, it's one of the backup parts.

It's annoying when you don't get to to be the star even in your own head.

And all this time I thought that was his natural hair color.

Chumbawamba. Yes, that one song is now stuck in your head too. You are welcome.
