WoW Peggle

Yes, we all laughed at Pop Cap when they made Bejeweled for WoW, but who is laughing now?

The game rewards you with "Talent points" that can change the gameplay itself, and you can challenge other players within World of Warcraft to duels and score battles. There's even a "Peggle loot" setting, which, when used as Master Looter, will let your guildies and friends with the addon actually take Peggle shots against each other to determine who gets loot drops.

Forget EPGP, Peggle Loot is the solution we've been looking for.

Oh my god... two of the most addictive games in the history of the known universe combined?

Hear my words friends, and mark this day on your calendars as the day that productivity on Earth gasped its last breath.

Oh dear god no... As if bejewelled wasn't bad enough. *buries face in hands*

"Yo dawg, I heard you like addictive games so we put an addictive game in your addictive game so you can lose sleep while you lose sleep."

I pray to God I win the lottery soon as I fear I may never log out again. Atleast I'll get sleep once a week from server maintenance

You can still fire up Peggle Nights during maintenance.

I've never been much of a Bejeweled fan, but Peggle... Peggle is a lot of fun.

Elysium is doomed.

It's very, very wrong how excited I am about this.

Let's just skip straight on to crack infused bacon.

Can i play Peggle while i eat that?

I had to take bejeweled out of my addons.

And the crack infused bacon is a no-go if it doesn't have magic cheeto-dust on it. Mmmmmm....

This is single-handedly is the best addon I've seen for WoW. I'm glad PopCap is hiring Moongaze full time.

I played WoW for 2 hours tonight and my character didnt move an inch.

Thanks Peggle.

Finally old school WOW players might get the answer to what really does happen when the Unstoppable Force hits the Immovable object.

This is the beginning of the end for WoW. People have claimed one game after another as the WoW killer, but this is it.
Soon people will be standing mindlessly around the world of Azeroth, playing nothing but Peggle.

And I cant wait.

No really, this is crazy, I'm going to get kicked out of my guild within a week for not responding in raids

This is SO good. Great implementation!

I own Peggle on 2 different platforms, why is this making me want to re-up WoW? Thanks Popcap. You suck.

RockPaperShotgun described it as "like mixing Pringles with heroin."

It'll be like the starship in Wall-E...

Peggle is not needed to accomplish this, imo. Plenty of fodder now.

Is it required for the add-on to spam a chat channel in order for high scores to be shared with your guild? If there are other guildies playing, I'd get a kick out of competing for high scores.

Sadly, I believe so.

That sucks. Being able to compete for scores is a big part of the fun, but I don't want to spam guild chat unnecessarily.

I'm sorry? WoW is going to die because people will still be paying their sub fee without Blizzard having to do squat?

It doesn't spam guild chat for me. It gives me the option to "publish" to guild chat but that's not a requirement. O.o

Correct. But my point was to see if publishing was the only way to get high scores added to guildmates' add-ons. Or if, like Gatherer, you can have the announcements disabled (at least I think you can).

There's no technical requirement that the addon spam your guild channel to publish scores. I know there's a SendAddonMessage in the code, so it probably is sending scores that way.

It definitely needs server/guild/friends leaderboards

/joke

Took myself in playing Peggle today in the middle of doing daily quests. Never really got to to the dailies anyway :/
