Monster Hunter Freedom Unite (PSP)

Have they any word on getting XLink to work with the Vita yet?

No Wi-Fi in the house?

You have to have the PS3 connected to the internet via an ethernet cable so it can use the Wi-Fi to communicate with the devices.

Ooooo.... I guess I am in the same boat as you, then. That sucks. (No offense intended).

I set MHFU aside a few months ago (after more than a dozen failed Green Plessy runs). Just got back to it yesterday. I skipped the "Master of the Giant Lake" quest altogether, and defeated a Gypceros instead. It went quite well - beat it on the second attempt, though the tail whip surprised me: the tail seems really short, yet the range is quite badass...

Anyways, just wanted to say that I got the MHFU syndrome again. Rather than work, I am browsing the FAQ pages and considering how to upgrade my weapon to beat Plessy. And I'm dying to go home and beat the Blangonga (almost succeeded yesterday - it was limping in its nest, but knocked me out in rage mode).

Man, this game is good!

Plesioth is the biggest pain in the ass. Between having to constantly get it out of the water, and its huge amount of HP, it's just not worth it, IMO.

I started doing the Battle Trainings again (I have Khezu, Daimyo Hermitaur, and Blangonga to slay).

My key learning from last night:

NEVER sharpen your sword next to a raging Khezu.

This game has taught me to respect wyverns in a way I never had before.

Kushala Daora is a classy lady. Don't let Rathian tell you otherwise.

Ha! I just met a wyvern in what should have been a Gathering Mission. Tried to fight it. You know how this ends.

Going to necro.

I recently picked up my old PSP.

I was wondering:
Some of the gameplay videos show A LOT of loading.
How is it for load screens on the PSP phat?

It's pretty cheap on the sony store.
I don't much like to fart around with UMDs, so the downloadables are what I'm after.

I have the PSN version and on my PSP the loading times are really fine - I never complained.

Oh, and I hate fiddling with the UMDs too, which is why I put custom firmware on my PSP slim. It's really easy, and I could copy all my UMD games to ISOs and play off a memory card. It's really handy, and no UMD drive sounds (which are really annoying).
