Demigod Catch-All

I think I could find some time to play a bit on a weekend. I think I only got to play it multiplayer the last time we had a revival several months back. I remember it being pretty fun.

It is certainly worth $5

What is this demigod you speak of?

I'm pretty sure I've never played this before

You are not Slambie, colour me disappointed.

Demigod was was Demigood.

I have a Slambie moment every time I see that avatar as well.

I had fun with the goodjers and Demigod when it came out, but it definitely showed me that I'm not cut out for the DoTA genre.

I loved demigod when it came out, and it was a blast playing with the GWJ crew, but I say save your $5.00 and just download League of Legends. Same style of game, but will run smoother, and there will be no network issues to speak of.

Yeah there is almost always somebody playing. Jump on vent and you will soon be facechecking bushes like a Possy Niblet.

I resurrect this thread in hopes to resurrect the Demigod community! Just kidding, Demigod is now on steam for $6. http://store.steampowered.com/app/20...

I'll probably get it for old time sakes...

That's $6 too much, in my opinion. I'm still irritated about that game.

Added to my Wishlist waiting for a 75% off just like with Sins,

I really liked Demigod for what it was. Granted I grabbed it right before a LAN party where we played it about 48 hours straight.

Not worth $6 since I already own on impulse, but I will pick it up on steam for 2.50 at some point.

I loved the Unclean Beast.

It's still using the Impulse network code instead of Steamworks which is too bad.

I don't blame you. Loved the game, but there is just to many issues.

Sadly, it didn't work well for me and the other half due to one simple problem: It couldn't handle two people on the same lan trying to game with others outside that lan. She and I could play head to head, or coop, or without the other person playing but as soon as we tried to get both of us into a GWJer game of Demigod, doom.

Otherwise, great game, really. When it worked.

Diablo had the same problem. I had to get a battle.net emulator to get it to work.

I instant bought it on steam since it was my LAST impulse game, I have now uninstalled impulse.

Life is good when impulse free!

Man, playing Oak was an absolute blast. It really is unfortunate how that game ended.

Ooh, that is an interesting way to look at that. I would like to subscribe to your newsletter.

It's printed once a month when I do not procrastinate.

So far it has never been printed.

I wonder if Demigod now uses steam online match making? Would be awesome to get some people from GWJ to play it with me.

Judging by this thread I'm guessing not so much, seems it still requires/uses a stardock account for multiplayer. At least the steam release might boost the player population so you can find a game though.

What happened with this game? Did it kick your dog or something?

If you brought this game home it practically raped the dog.

I never from day one had a problem with it, of course I never from day one played it online. Wasn't till I heard the podcast did I ever find out this game had a rough launch. LAN Parties are the best place for games.

Started playing this again this week. Anyone want to do some comp stomps?

sure, when?

I am usually available late (10pm PST). I see your in Florida so that might be too late. Maybe Sunday early afternoon EST?

possibly, i might be working saturday night/ sunday morning, if so i might be going to be late morning, but that all depends. So maybe.
