If I own Cyberpunk on Epic, buying the new DLC on Steam won't do me any good, right?
So, while I have not yet crossed the wallet-destroying threshold of actually purchasing any Warhammer 40K figurines or anything such, I have been listening to several lore channels and attempting to get to grips with at least SOME of what the hell is going on.
Anyway, I am considering purchasing a Warhammer 40K audiobook. Does anyone have a recommendation?

If you want more of a main character with supernatural flare and w40k setting then go with Ravenor. If you want more militaristic squad stuff go with Gaunts Ghosts. If you want space marines go with Ragnar.
Disclaimer: I have not read much from the past 6-8 years.
Can't really go wrong with anything authored by Dan Abnett or Aaron Dembski-Bowden.
[Warhammer is insane (with Robert Evans)]
Please, please watch this video. Robert Evans -- the guy in the middle -- is a national treasure. I had only previously played the videogames, but after this I consider myself enlightened.
There is no such thing as a nearly four hour YouTube video I'm willing to watch, regardless of how many national treasures it involves.
How about 16 15 minute videos?
Also, former military GWJers, how hard are all the other branches clowning the Air Force for losing an entire F-35?
I'm assuming "as hard as they possibly can."
Is using the thumbs-up emoji passive-aggressive? Because I'm not over 45, but I'm closer to it than 35, and I use it all the time. Feeling a little called out.
Can somebody PLEASE explain the God-damned pencil? I can't find anything anywhere about it.. aside from mechanical pencils being useless pieces of pencil, and a blatant product placement.

Listen dude, I found out last year that punctuation is considered gauche and threatening by the youths. We are just old now, it happens.
Ryan George is hilarious though.

I'm still trying to comprehend racist math.
"It's weird hearing Robert Evens talk about something other than Fascism. Wait hold on..."
Honestly, kinda seems like trash tier loot.
Craps rolls for sure...
I saw the "thumbs up is passive-aggressive" thing go around 6 months ago, and I asked the highschool youngins in The Garages and they were like "what? I've never heard of that" so I guess it's not universal. I'm gonna keep using it as short for "acknowledged" until I see evidence that anyone actually cares about it except for the people saying that someone cares about it.

Every day I'm learning more about things, from the silly to the real. Like, I didn't know "getting jipped" wasn't just you getting ripped off, it was really "getting GYPPED," as in getting robbed by a Gypsie. I mean... who the f*ck knows that sh*t? The only people who told me it was offensive were- surprise- white people who aren't gypsies.. it confuses me like experts in fashion and women's culture on news programs seem to be homosexual men. I'm sure they have a great eye for fashion, but, you'd think women of any sexual persuasion know what's better for women than men? And how come on the radio every Jewish white guy is the Hip-Hop Guru we should all bow to and not some serious word slinging black person? Sorry I lost in a tangent there.
However I did come here with a serious question, are there any free word processor programs for download anymore? Everything I find is free trial, and the stuff on my computer is "unlock for $N." I'm annoyed.

I have no idea how full-featured it is now. I haven't used it in over 10 years because I don't do any processing of words that Google Docs can't handle.

I still use it for those rare occasions when I have unprocessed words that require processing.
Libre Office is good. Apache Open Office is the other one. Both of them are open-source knockoffs of MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

We've had this discussion at work, and my takeaway was that, for those of us that grew up before social media, a thumbs-up can seem kinda dismissive. But for people who grew up with thumbs-up representing Likes in social media, they don't associate it that way.
Since this site skews older, I will assume that anyone clicking Like on my comments is sarcastically telling me off. The thumb's over that way ======>

My friend has worked for the government and has written encyclopedia articles while an adjunct professor, he recommended both Libre and Open Office, I think everyone has pointed me in the right direction.
By the way, my 12 year old wants to set up a Discord account, any opinions? Is there a GamerParent thread in here somewhere I can't find?
While Discord has parental controls, including notifications of who your child is communicating with and what servers they join (but not message content), Commonsense Media (a non-profit that helps parents decide what media products are appropriate for kids; not religiously based) recommends a starting age of 13 "due to Discords open chat channels". For me, it would depend on how mature and trustworthy your child is, and how amenable to oversight they are. If they will seek to evade the rules you set up, don't even consider it, would be my stance.
FWIW, Discord's terms of service requires users to be 13.
oh, uh... Yeah, that's a better point Leaping.

Maybe on Reddit?
There’s r\tatoos which isn’t very big, but then there’s r\whatisthisthing with >2m members who love to figure out things people post there.
You could also take a picture and have google search for others like it.
