Well that's a far more comprehensive answer than I expected or deserved!
I should wrap up my BG3 first run around the end of the month. Armored core 6 or starfield?
As much nostalgia as I have for the Armored Core series I would personally pick Starfield because it’s one of Bethesda’s exceedingly rare non-Skyrim releases, and who knows when we’ll ever see one of those again whereas FromSoft puts out a non-Skyrim game like every couple years.
Are NiCad and NiMH batteries interchangeable in devices? I worked at Radio Shack a long time ago and forgot, and the internet says you can and the internet says you cannot. So I figure I'd come in here and, again, ask the real experts.
I'd also ask about amps, but I think I'm SOL with needing 100 mAh batteries.
It doesn't show up on Amazon, maybe a battery site.
ni-cd 2/3aaa 100mah 1.2v batteries for solar lights
Extremely rare edge cases aside, yes, they're interchangable.
Just don't mix battery technologies in the same device i.e. go all NiCad or all NimH.
For solar lights in particular, you may be better if with NiCad, as they're more robust to extreme temperatures (may not be an issue depending on where you live).
Alright, I need the help of a Canadian.
There's a Hallmark store blanket that's sold out in the US, but I see an online store in Canada that has it. But the store will not ship this item to the US.
I would like to order this item, have it shipped to one of our lovely Canadian members that would then be willing to ship the item to me, and allow me to reimburse their costs via Venmo.
Back in the days of CRT TVs, I recall catching the startling ending of a film as I flipped through the 3 channels we had.
The scene is a dimly lit theater. A woman is preparing to perform--possibly a ballerina, but I'm not certain.
At the back of the sparsely populated audience a man stands, waiting for the performance to begin. In front of him is a film camera, on a tripod. He's looking intently through the viewfinder. Maybe too intently--something seems off.
The stage is dimly lit. From offstage the woman steps out and positions herself to begin the performance.
She begins. I don't recall the music, but I imagine it was mournful.
The man in the back begins filming. It's an oddly old-fashioned camera, bulky and driven by a hand-crank. Our view of the performance shifts to the viewfinder. She dances. He turns the crank.
The dancer gasps, but continues to perform. Blood blossoms on her leotard. Does the audience notice? I don't recall.
He continues to crank. A magazine or belt of large caliber bullets is revealed, entering the camera from the side. He continues to crank.
The performance ends as she collapses to the floor, and the lights go down. End scene.
I think that was it. I might be coloring what I recall of the scene. I can't find any evidence that this film exists, however. I recalled it getting a mention in Susan Sontag's "Regarding the Pain of Others", but I haven't found the reference yet. Will probably read the book again to be sure, but if any of y'all have an idea, I'd love to know what this is.
I have model/electric trains, and I noticed for awhile the tracks are 3 rails. Does anybody known why they have 3 rails? Stability? Electrified 3rd rail? More efficient?

There’s a scene like that in Ronin. It doesn’t sound like a match to me but my memory of that sequence is vague.

Having the third rail be live with the running rails as ground, lets you do balloon circuits. There is also a bit extra ease of manufacturing since you don’t have to worry about rolling stock shorting across the lines in a two rail format. Mostly though I think two line power is more common in OO scale. I have mostly had Hornby trains so it might just be a U.K. thing.
As I recall, M scale is a 3-rail system as well. But the one we had was from, I dunno, the 1920's or 1930's, so it might be different now? Kind of doubt it though since it is a standard.

Not that one, but I love that movie! I know exactly the scene you're talking about. It's at the ice rink, when the terrorist lets his ice skater gf (played by real ice skater Katarina Witt) get taken out to avoid giving up the briefcase to the mercenary turned traitor.

The 3rd rail is social security.
I thought that was the 5th wheel?
Be careful not to break the 4th wall.
Just obey your 6th sense and you'll be fine.
Just obey your 6th sense and you'll be in 7th heaven.

Eight is enough?
Nien.
I heard he got an award for that.
Derailed.
Any Excel gurus in the house?
How can I compare ColumnA in Table1 to ColumnA in Table2 and if they match return the value from Table1 ColumnE?
Where "5" is the 1-based column number for "ColumnE" in your other table:
=VLOOKUP([@ColumnA], Table2[#All], 5, FALSE)
I'm afraid to ask, but I read something about a company hiring that they call the pay "Chinese pay to confuse you." Sounds like a bitter ex-employee, but what does that mean? If it's overly offensive I'll take the answer in my PMs.
In China it is typical for full time workers to get paid monthly instead of the more typical US weekly or biweekly. Maybe that is what they meant?

Quote the LOTR Fandom Wiki:
The Ring's primary power was control over the other Rings of Power, including "mastery over [their] powers" and domination of the wills of their users. However, its effectiveness in this manner proved limited, as the wielders of the Three never used them while Sauron held the One, and the Dwarves to whom the Seven had been given proved too tough for Sauron's mental influence to take hold. By extension, the Ring also conferred the power to dominate the wills of other beings whether they were wearing Rings or not. However, this was its least accessible power, since it granted this ability in proportion to the user's natural capacity.
Honestly, kinda seems like trash tier loot.

Keeps your skin in remarkably good condition for your age? Dude's 600 years old and nary a crow's foot to be seen. There's Real Housewives that'd kill for that sh*t.
With practice, maybe Frodo could have learned to control the Nazgûl.
