I always had the impression he was something of a weird genius. If he was acting that, it was a good act.

How do I search for high quality replica clothing? My daughter wants a Hermione costume but I want something that's high quality.

You can typically rent higher quality costumes from local semi pro theatres or medium to large sized colleges. They are actually fully professional theatres that have quality clothing but not Hollywood or Broadway. And while they may not have Hermione costumes, they would have pieces that you could throw together to make your own.

I had a dream I was sick and barley holding it together. I woke up in a lot of pain feeling bad and kind of holding it together.

Which came first, me feeling bad or the dream?

Yes.

I’m guessing the barley. (Sorry) My actual guess is feeling bad at night, your body picked up on it and gave you advance warning, by gaming out scenarios in your sleep.

What is a good blu ray player to get ones parents? They are not tech illiterates but the more basic the better. They have a TV than can do Netflix so no need to apps.

Thank you.

4K?

I don't think they would notice 4k or not 4k.

A solution for using VR headsets for people who wear glasses?

There's prescription lens adopters that you can get from several different places.

I don't know if all headsets let you use prescription lens but the the quest 2 does.

Why do so many tech and internet sites, (boing boing etc) view YouTube removing the downvote button as a positive thing?

Downvotes on big and popular channels are meaningless because of bots. A 15 minute video will get swamped with downvotes within seconds of being put up. It is only useful to smaller videos that don't attract bots. The upvote is probably just as useless for the same reason.

I always thought downvotes were useful for burying trolls, racists and antivaxers.

In the comments? Youtube comments are a toxic waste dump. If the comments I see are the cream of the crop I hate to see what comments are being buried. The downvote they are removing are for videos. I don't think they are doing anything with the comments. I could be wrong though.

No not comments I meant videos posted by trolls, racists and antivaxers. Also videos by businesses spreading misinformation.

From what I've heard, upvotes and downvotes both count as "engagement" and are seen as valuable. That's not from any sort of official source, though, so could be totally wrong.

It's likely that every headset, Quest included, has 3D printable adapters for basic, inexpensive circular lenses that can be bought online.

Dislikes on YouTube videos don't do anything. Neither comments. They're just a way of tracking how users are engaging. If there's a YouTube comment that needs to be removed, just report it. Otherwise, it's just feeding the algorithm.

What is a good 2.4ghz wireless headphone that I can swap between my PC, XSX, and PS5? I've seen the steelseries one but there are so many reports of the head band randomly breaking even when treated very gently.

So is anyone admin of a Facebook group and knows about the new changes? I'm an admin of an old group that doesn't meet anymore, the group is 'archived'.

I looked into deleting it but it you have to manually remove each member which I'm not keen on because there are 600 to go through and not keen on giving me everyone some 'you've been booted out of this club' notification (which seems like a rude thing to force me to do just to sunset it imo but anyway).

These new changes aren't going to make the group active or joinable again are they? I read through the info on the future update and it doesn't seem clear.

We've been using the Sony BDP-S1700 for almost 3 years now. It's a great basic Blu-Ray player (no 4K, Sony has the BDP-S6700 for that), relatively fast and has Netflix and Hulu integration as well.

I agree, if you want a Blu-ray player that isn’t a console, just get whatever the current Sony one is.

For what it's worth, the BDP-S6700 does 4k upscaling of regular 1080p Blu-Ray discs, but it can't play 4k "Ultra HD Blu-Ray" discs. Check out the Sony UBP-X700M for that. I realize Stealthpizza mentioned that 4k wasn't a big deal for their use-case, but just in case anyone else comes along.

I've been rocking a Steelseries Arctis 7 for two years, no broken headband (First I've heard of that). It gets pretty heavy usage, 2.4gz with a USB dongle, and I'd recommend it in a heartbeat - only reservation is that I've never tried using it with a console. I assume it'll work but buyer beware.

Upscaling? Isn't that just an AI inserting stuff that was not there before? Is that even legal? /s

This is a Rule 34 situation if ever I have seen one.
