Castle Catch All.

How was her hair?

Pretty good, actually!

Ok, I know this is a little petty, but I've noticed that NF has maybe been gaining a little extra weight... it seemed like when he was bouncing up and down down around the bed that he was breathing pretty hard. He still looks good...but I thought it was kind of weird.

Yeah, Nathan and I were born in the same year and I can tell you, at our age, keeping to a single chin is a constant struggle.

Okay, wow. This episode may have ruined the show for me.

Someone PLEASE needs to tell Beckett that this "popular" TV hairstyle is the worst thing to come out of the past 10 years:

I hate it! It makes me irrationally angry every time I see it on TV. Take longs bangs, pull them straight back and clip em in place. It's so unflattering on every woman. Fortunately she didn't wear it like that the whole episode.

Ha! That hair jumped out to me too as I despise it as well.

Gentlemen, we are of one mind in this.

This has been going on for years, and while I don't care, I thought that big TV/movie stars all had personal trainers and dieticians and stuff. Sure seems like the ladies do.

The new captain was probably assigned by the guy behind Beckett's mom's murder to (maybe unwittingly) keep everyone on task and therefore off Beckett's vendetta. That will allow everyone to rally against a character every viewer will hate and at the same time allow them to move the main story arc forward again.

I wish Castle would share some of those sammiches with Beckett, personally. I need a bit more curve to my womens.

I also saw noticeable weight gain.

On the one hand, yes. On the other hand, does one dare to try and improve on perfection?

I am signing my own death warrant here, but Stana Katic > Christina Hendricks for me. I'm first and foremost about a pretty face. No question CH's figure is amazing and better.

Maybe he is pregnant.

I'm with you. I prefer a more athletic waif build, although Saffron would've put me in the special hell.

I found that whole episode a bit soapy and annoying. I prefer my Castle to be angst-free, and I like the happy-go-lucky episodes better than this kind.

Truth. I didn't dislike it, but let's get back to Castle now, shall we?

Shut your whore mouth when men are talking.

+1 on the clipped bangs style. will never understand it.

Well that was fun.

I can't watch till I get home...AAAARGH.

I approve of gimmick murder investigations with lots of jokes instead of murky conspiracy conspiring!

If you're gonna do an episode that doesn't advance the plot in the least, that's the way to do it!

And is it me, or is Stana Katic losing the weight Fillion is gaining? She looked scary thin in that episode; I hope she's just getting over a stomach flu or something, but a model turned actress not eating well would not be a shock.

She did look very thin. I take back what I said to ColdForged.

Really liked the comics aspect of this one, and the (accurate) references to real actual comics.

I loved Castle's response to Beckett's first comic purchase.

Makes me feel old to think that could be someone's first comic; and in reality, Stana Katic is only two years younger than I am.

Yeah that one was definitely great. I liked that all of the comic books were Marvel-->Disney-->ABC owned.

By the way, did y'all know that the Derek Storm graphic novel that they showed in the episode is a real thing? It just came out this week.

There are also three Nikki Heat novels (not graphic - well, some scenes may be graphic, but you know what I meant) that have been published.

I've been meaning to read those.

Speedhuntr wrote:

Read the first two novels. Liked the first one okay. Second one... notsomuch. Didn't have the same sensibility as the show.

Just catching this week's.

Yep. I'm already hoping they find a way to off Chief Whateverhernameis.

Yeah I have the first two Castle/Heat novels, Read the first, haven't started the 2nd yet. The 3rd just came out. I actually just got the 2nd when it dropped under $10 at Amazon. Will probably wait and do the same for the 3rd. They're not really critical for the show enjoyment, just a nice tie-in. You can see the inspiration for the book characters from the show characters.

She was Female Doggoy to Castle this past ep, but didn't get in the way. It was an improvement over her first appearance.
