That's my instinct. It's a great compromise between the full Oasis (which is getting old) and the PaperWhite. And of course, you can read your graphic novels on it. I'm still happy with it.
It is a Paperwhite with a color screen. Same shell, same size, etc. Not sure how that is between a Paperwhite and an Oasis, except maybe pricewise?
It's got twice as much storage, as well as (of course) color display in addition to the B&W, better lighting and wireless charging. Which... Yes, if you buy the Kindle PaperWhite Signature edition, that's what you're getting.
What puts it in between that and the Oasis, besides price, is the color ability. If you read books or graphic novels that use color, it's a great choice. If you don't, then you can pay $20 less and get the PaperWhite, or...
Well, I don't see the Oasis for sale anymore at Amazon, at least not for shipping inside the US. So I guess the ColorSoft is the new top of the line. But the color and price were why I was considering it to be a step above the PaperWhite line, and a step below the Oasis. But also better, because color.
