Is that just the International version or does it cover all? Usually anything marked (I) on gogamer is the International...

$41.90 is cheap? I want to live in your world!

I can't seem to find a way of equipping a shield and a sword at the same time; they map to seperate buttons. Is it possible?

I am enjoying the game, but I think that I am too used to being spoon-fed these days. The lack of tutorial is a bit daunting when it comes to runes and so on. The game just gives you a mission that it calls a tutorial, without actually teaching you anything!

Map them both to the same button.

Well, that was embarrassing.

I did the same thing. I finally switched to just using a 2 hander so i wouldnt worry about it. lol. It was only in a reroll did i notice that they were mapped to the same button.

I'm officially interested now, but definitely going to wait until the 360 version drops in price.

I'll likely pick this up for some co-op with St.Hillary once funds become available. Mediocre dungeon crawl is all kinds of awesome with friends. (Darkstone is hands-down the best example of this.)

Really digging the game. I think I'm around 7 hours in with my inquisitor and have covered around 3.5% of the map according to the game. If I keep going at that rate it'll take me a long, long time to get through the whole thing! So far I've mostly been able to run through areas uncontested but finally entered a dungeon that gave me a little bit of a challenge so that was fun.

It may not be the best game out there but it's some of the most fun I've had in quite awhile. Running around, blasting bad guys, getting loot and exploring. That's all I need to make me happy!

I did run into an odd issue where the PS3 version wouldn't boot up for me. Deleted the installed files, let it reinstall and life was good again. Thankfully that's the only issue I've run into so far.

First time poster here. Great site!!

After reading all the posts I finally picked up Sacred 2. Really digging it so far and would love to hook up with people for multiplayer. Look me up on Live my gamer tag is Faiyde.

Anyone still playing this or have more impressions after putting more time into it? I'm thinking of picking this up on 360, but i'm still on the fence. Most of the stuff in this thread seem to be early impressions. Anyone put more time into it and have further impressions?

I've got the PC version but it's on my pile of shame.

Well, I held out for about 4 hours. Now I'm the owner of a copy of Sacred 2 on the 360. I'll probably be playing a lot this weekend, so If anyone wants to do some co-op, friend me up. gamertag is IUMogg

I'm still hoping to grab this one eventually (note: eventually = 20 dollars).

I'm right there with you. I propose we get some co-op going the week it hits 20 bucks

I'm still having a lot of fun with this (PS3). Haven't put a ton of time into it yet but I keep getting distracted by starting new characters. I've been doing some online coop as well and it works okay although it tends to be pretty laggy and there are some issues with that (animations getting stuck, etc). Still, it is fun playing through with a buddy.

It may not be the best hack and slash game but if you like the genre you'll have a good time.

With the 20% off used 360 games coupon that beeporama posted in the video game deals thread plus an edge card it was under $40. Plus I still had some credit so i ended up paying right around $20.

I just picked this up last weekend. I'll send you a friend invite (I'm MNGwinn) - let me know if you want to play. I have a level 14ish as my highest, so I'm more than willing to start over if you want to play low level.

When this game came out I heard nothing about it. When I heard a few people talk about it, I looked up some reviews. They were all average at best. Somehow everyone keeps talking about it.There's something going on with this game and I'm going to check it out.

Words so nice he said them thrice.

Anywho... I picked this up yesterday because a friend of mine kept talking about it, and because I'd not played a game of this type since Titan Quest and it's expansion came out a couple years ago.

It's a diablo style hack and slash. That's all. The story doesn't really seem to feature much at all (which is ok with me in this kind of game) and the gameplay isn't anything new. It all feels very... competent. It's passable. Not great, not bad, just ok. The framerate is uneven and seems to be limited at 30, so even at it's best it's not super smooth. The voice acting is hilariously bad as is the dialogue they're given to speak, so much so that it seems almost intentional.

The one thing that initially seems exceptional is the sheer size of the map. It is huge. I played for four hours and explored 2.1% of the whole map.

If you like this kind of game, pick it up when it's cheaper.

Anyone play this on the PC and console? Impressions? Based on Tom Chick's love of the console version, I may actually pick this up for the PS3 instead of the pc. The whole sitting-on-couch-for-long-hours sounds good in a game I don't expect mods to be necessary (or readily available [not like Fallout 3]).

So far I'm enjoying it. It's a little overwhelming. There are a lot of different systems and stats and such. Seems like it's going to take some experimenting to get a handle on it all. ChrisGwinn helped me by explaining some of the basics, so thank you.

by the way today (7/11) it's amazon's deal of the day. $48 for the 360 or ps3 versions.

If you get it for PC, you get to play with me! Consider that a huge + (or -).

It's worth nothing that the recently announced expansion pack is PC only (at least for now).

There were also a couple of patch downloads with new content that I'm not certain are in the console version (they added a whole "winter island" for a Christmas event and later added an Easter-themed questline. These might be in the console version as well though so feel free to correct me someone if they are).

Both versions get the cheesy folk-rock concert questline (and resulting music video cutscene) though, so that's...ok...i guess

It looks like amazon has dropped the price on the PC version to $20. I'm in the mood for some hack/slash so I may pick it up. Anyone still playing?

Ascaron Entertainment officially closed for good this morning. The current rumour is that KOCH Media will release the add-on for PC but continued support (including the originally promised removal of activation limits) and the console games is up in the air. I don't know how many bugs remain in the game but picking up the game is buyer beware at this point.
