Steam Community

Add StylezXP as [email protected].

That did indeed work.

Stylez you should have an invite to the group now.

Drop me an invite please. Looking forward to gaming with you all. Time zones are de Sux though.

Yikes, Singapore, that is a hell of a time difference. Company's got an office there, I hear it's nice. I've been angling for a visit. I'll try to add you when I get off work.

It seems like that shift-tab overlay is a bit buggy. Dawn of War (bought yet another Steam game) wouldn't launch with it active. Also, I can't believe my Titan's Quest playing time ranks #2 within the group.

It wouldn't if Steam Community had been out when TQ first was and we'd all bought Titan Quest that way

OK, I finally got with the program. Please add me to the group.

I'm not too sure how Steam has been tracking time ingame. I wouldn't say it's a 100% catchall yet. I purchased Civ 4 and the expansions(via Steam) and have clocked some pretty good time in the last few weeks - no sign in the stats. I also have played a good bit of Trackmania United(also via Steam) in the last two months and it's not showing me that either.

I'm fairly certain my CS time is single-handedly leading the group, which is all part of my quest to force CS to be "our favorite game"

I may join you in that quest. I've got a lan party coming up and some friends are probably going to want to enter a team into the CS tourney. I needs me some practice.

Hey Neg, did you find the bundles? I picked up Civ4 + BtS this morning for 50 bucks, but I had to go out to the website to find it. I couldn't find it in Steam's store interface. Just a heads-up

Got an ID setup: jakeleg

I'm in as Atras.

I accepted an invite (I think) but my name doesn't show up as a member of the grounp. Can one of you admins resend one for me? Thanks! It's 93_Confirmed

Do you use the deathmatch mod? I've found it to be a good way to practice, especially with the different weapons.

I am Anodyne.

Could you add me? It's dejanzie.

I sent a friend request to Certis, too.

Can't say I've ever even heard of it. The only altered CS type game I've played is "Gun-Game". You start with a pistol and everytime you kill someone you get a better gun all the way up until you get an HE grenade. When/if you finally get a grenade kill you get the knife and once someone gets a knife kill they win.

The only level I ever played that in was a giant cube with floors made of glass panels. It was... interesting.

Please invite TheWanderer... It is time for a steam renaissance methinks.

That is possibly the worst gun-game level ever made. I play GG on [DIG] and I'm fairly certain they phased it out after everyone complained. There are many other great ones that lend themselves much better to the concept.

You can find Deathmatch mods by just browsing server names and looking for "Deathmatch" in the title.
The best practice I ever had was playing on a pistols-only deathmatch server, which essentially trains you non-stop to aim for the head.

You could directly translate the word "Interesting" in my last sentence to "Wow I wish I was just playing regular CS."

If I wanted to play deathmatch I'd just play a different game. My aim generally comes back to me over the course of a couple of days. That's not a problem. The things I have to learn all over again are checking corners for campers, quickest ways around maps, remembering to listen for footsteps, and all those other useful CS skills that I tend to not have a habit of doing in any other game.

VeggiePirate

love the new features, so far.

How come I don't show up on the GWJ members page. Is there some other invite that I'm supposed to accept?

Also, I keep getting a message that asks me if I want to add [unknown] to my friends list and regardless of how I reply, it follows with "there was a problem adding [unknown] to your friends list".

Toss an add to Burrito

If Burrito doesn't work, [email protected] was the original SteamID

Guys, the best way to get an invite is to send a friend request to myself (Certis) Edwin or GWJ-Duffman. I can't invite someone into the group unless they are on my friend list, and half the time the friend requests don't work because the account is wrong, misspelled or not working. Better to send the friend request to us, then it's a quick two clicks to get you in.

Actually anybody already in the group can invite others to it. It doesn't have to be one of the people with admin rights.

Just saying.
