I'm pretty sure that's it. If that doesn't work, try "permanentink"

I have a question on the way groups work. I'm in the group, but should I be friending everyone in the group? Or just end at the join. I'm a little confused as to what Steam groups do and how they function. Where does the social interaction happen? Is it in the comments section?

I realize it's kind of a broad and silly question, but humor me please.

Not a silly question at all. One of the main functions of Steam groups is to facilitate coordinated events. If you post an announcement to a Steam group, it will pop up a notice for everyone in the group -- this is why we have one mega-group for all goodjers that doesn't post announcements/events, which is useful for gathering everyone and finding friends, and lots of game-specific groups that are used to coordinate multiplayer games ("Looking for a 4th" in Left 4 Dead, "Come fill up the pub server" in Team Fortress 2, etc.). I never use the comments section, but maybe that's a thing other people do?

You should definitely be friending up anyone that you like -- there's no pressure to friend everyone in a group, especially not in the general mega-group.

Thanks for that description, it makes sense. I'm trying to become an active participant in the GWJ social sphere :).

Yeah, all the interaction happens at the game specific sub-group level. The main group is pretty much just a way to say "I know what GWJ is, and am not just some random guy trying to hack into your account," well, unless you're Psych.

let me in (pretty please)
