Thrilled by all the dubs for Shogun tonight. It genuinely was that good.

So well deserved.

I dreamt that my cat was a tiny hamster last night. We were playing together nicely when he latched onto my finger. His head was one side of the finger, incisors the other, so he wasn’t biting into me. I held up my hand and his body was sticking out horizontally from his ‘latch point.’

I had just gone to find a Tupperware box to put him in for a time out when I woke up.

I love how solidly 30-40% of my gaming now is coming home, deciding to play a game, finding out that a major patch was released within the last 72 hours and half of my mods are busted.

Just set the game to not auto-update?

Oh I know, i'm mostly just amused at how, every time I want to play, it's been patched within the last 48 hours. Never like "three weeks ago," always "yesterday."

New diet idea - you're only allowed to eat desserts, but all the desserts have to have the name of produce in them, so you know they're healthy. You know, like apple pie, banana bread, carrot cake, zucchini bread.

Carob ganache

Bananas Foster…yumm.

Chocolate cake every day? I can do that.

I'm sorry to have to be the one to break to this to you, man, but chocolate is not a vegetable.

In all fairness you didn’t say vegetable, you said produce, which covers more than just vegetables.

Exactly. So I will enjoy my chocolate cake. I also reject the idea of specific times for foods, so I will occasionally have eggs benedict for dessert as well.

EDIT: Also, vegetables? Do not exist!

Carrot cake all day! Yousonofabeachimin.gif

Just throw some fruit on top and make it chocolate [ fruit name ] cake. Chocolate cherry cake, chocolate raspberry cake, chocolate orange cake, etc.

*Checks rules*

I'll allow it.

I feel sorry for Donkey Kong over all the trouble Diddy has gotten into. I think he started hanging out with the Koopalings. Nintendo should remove him from all their games.

I am genuinely tempted to try and see Megalopolis this weekend, because the reviews are all amazing.

Not as in "good," as in "It's defininitely one of the films of all time."

Like, seeing people genuinely struggle to describe this film, good or bad, is so intriguing.

This is one of my favorite comments:

"The only way I can describe the feeling it gives is "what." The period instead of a question mark is deliberate, this isn't "what?", that implies I know which question I'm supposed to be asking"

I was drawn in by Megalopolis more because I am a dreamer. It is the battle between what is and what can be. The confined safety versus the chaotic freedom and how one causes the other.
It is profound.
It is poetic.
It is emotional.
It is naive and it is convenient at times.
It is honest about many facets of human nature. both current and timeless.
It is good but definitely not great.

If/when the Harris/Walz campaign wins the presidency, I would like a video of Tim Walz calling Kamala Harris from the golf course saying "We did it, Kamala!".

Ordering three items from Amazon-

Amazon: These items will arrive on different days, or you could opt to have them all shipped to arrive on the latest date so there will be fewer packages.

Me: Sure. Let’s do that second option.

Amazon: Sends three different packages to all arrive on the latest date.

Yeah I have also tried sometimes to consolidate shipping and they end up coming on different days anyway.

I caught It Follows on TV last night, and I'm growing increasingly convinced that the best horror movies are made on a teeny-tiny budget and you've never heard of anyone in it.

EDIT: Also it features my favorite kind of villain. Slow, methodical, implacable, immortal.

Jason never scared me. Anton Chigurh scared the shit out of me as an adult.

Best movie!!! Disasterpeace (Fez) soundtrack!

It follows is so well done. Maika Monroe is a big part of why it works so well. I’m looking forward to seeing Longlegs.

I just sowed a button on a shirt /flex. I probably wouldn’t have bothered if it wasn’t my favouritest shirt in the world.

This was my second attempt. On my first try I used a needle almost too big to go through the button holes. It was also too long to do as many passes as I’d have liked (which is probably the reason it fell off :p ) This time I used the only other needle that I know the whereabouts off. It’s slimmer and shorter but with an eye clearly created with the aid of a neutron microscope. Most of the time on the task was taken up by me trying and failing to thread it.

It seems to be on solidly now so I’m pleased (even though I noticed several points of wear and literal tear elsewhere on the shirt. I can always wear it for gardening.)

I love that guy! So great to hear he's having success, I listen to his old game music all the time.

My favorite track: every 3-4 seconds it changes direction and never quite goes where you'd expect
