My 12 year old son is playing games online with his friends, and a couple of insults I heard: "search Joe Rogan on the internet;" "search furry on the internet;" "your mom has an onlyfans."

Please post your menu for 24 hours prior! The closest I can get is Excedrin Migraine on an empty stomach when I've got a banger migraine and I'm not hungry, those farts had the UN investigate me for chemical weapons and WMD storage.

Lots of brown rice, tofu and black beans, peas and edamame.

So black beans DO serve a purpose. Huh!

Caution: blood has a metallic smell.

But the taste.. divine.

This may be the wrong spot, but it's random. I remember the days of people in the US saying if it wasn't for our military, the French would be speaking German or whatever because of the two World Wars. I always thought about this and was like "but wait, if it weren't for France, the US would have lost the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812 and would have been colonies of England."

Oh no, that won’t do at all. The tenets of American exceptionalism tell us that the US was better than those eurobabies even before the US was a country! Did you learn that from a left wing extremist history book? There’s a reason for those book burnings you know.

Yeah, if it weren't for France we'd all still be speaking English here.

We bumped into a modest old timer event while walking our dog with the family this weekend. My wife and I realized that main stream cars from when we grew up now also count as old timers, which left us with uhm mixed feelings

There was the Renault 19 my neighbors had for years, the Citroën CX we drove when I was 6, and the Citroën Deux-Chevaux my aunt drove for years.

I AM NOT OLD!

Nope,just by reading history.

Heretic!

I have discovered an easy lifehack to help get rid of any excess recurring memberships you don't want but may have forgotten about.

Lose your debit card.

I did it this month (twice!), and have gotten to completely revamp my various memberships by seeing who is emailing me to tell my the transaction didn't go through.

Except the processor companies like Visa and Mastercard in 2023 started selling transition services to the subscription companies so if your card number changes they notify them and move your charges to the new number.

https://gizmodo.com/how-netflix-othe...

Yeah Discover did that like 3-4 years ago, when I got a new card, Netflix sub was moved without me having to do anything.

When I can I use PayPal to subscribe to things anyway, so that I can just change stuff in one spot. I know Hulu let me do that. Plus not putting my card in at multiple places is much better for when they inevitably have a data breach.

Bad: Noticing a whooooole lotta gray in my hair recently.

Good: The hairline is still holding strong, and I don't have a moonroof going. So ultimately, positive.

My beard is like 5-7% gray, mostly down on the front chin. Which is where I used to have some brownish red tint to my default dark brown to black color.

So the main color is holding strong, it's just my highlights that faded hehe

I’ve had grey in my facial hair since my early 20’s- it used to be just 2 cool streaks on either side of the chin like a comic book villain but over the years it has gradually filled in the full chin.

I look sexy with grey hair.

I don't like the fact that the bottom half of my beard is going gray, but fortunately that's easy enough to take care of with a little Just For Men every week or two. I use a shade lighter than the rest of my beard and don't use much of it; I don't mind a little salt-and-pepper, and I don't want it to look obviously fake.

On the other hand, I've been noticing a little gray creeping into my temples, and I'm all about that, give me that Reed Richards look, I'm here for it.

After Midnight is on a break this week, and I'm suffering from not getting my daily fix of goofy American panel show full of comedians making fun of social media.

We'll see how much I end up getting out of it (or not). Although I have a feeling that it's open-world nature and alleged repetition will have me QTing this in a month or two going "thank God I only paid $12 for this."

Thank God I only paid $12 for this. GR: Breakpoint's gunplay is solid but, they aren't kidding about the repetitive-ness.

Also, there is literally no reason not to use a silencer all the time, thereby allowing a capable player to basically go undetected for the entire game. Which, frankly, is kinda boring.

I came upstairs and my son had just woken up but was already playing videgames. He had a blanket around his shoulders because it was chilly. I walked up behind him patting him on the back saying "Hey you're awake! It's cold want a sweatshirt or a coffee or something?" Without looking up and without hesitation, he deadpanned "Go. Away."

I was so proud at this I neglected to wonder if he talks to everybody like that. I'm still proud though...

*sniff* they grow up so fast.

I was playing Combat Mission last night, and ended up watching a couple of videos on YouTube of the actual guns being fired.

I'll let you guess what this did to my algorithm.

Half-naked women firing assault rifles at nothing in slo-mo?

I wish.

No, just a ton of more gun stuff and several insane RW videos.

I watched like 4 videos, and the algo is like "GOT IT THIS IS ALL YOU CARE ABOUT."

There does seem to be a massive recency bias to the Youtube algo. Stop watching gun stuff and it'll die off pretty quick.
