I imagine it thinking, I don’t have many jobs but this one is VITAL and cannot be half assed if we are to stand any chance of staving off chaos.

I've always been really disappointed by the output of the band The Postal Service since their 2003 album. "They've had some okay songs," I thought, "but nothing that really captured the magic of Give Up."

Except that The Postal Service never released another album. I found out today that everything I thought they'd released as a follow-up was actually Owl City, an entirely unrelated band that sounds exactly like them down to Ben Gibbard's vocal tics.

That was a weird discovery.

Owl City's song "When Can I See You Again?" from Wreck-It Ralph is just fantastic.

Pretty much the only song of theirs I like, but I really like it

It's the only one that I didn't initially think was The Postal Service.

Sam Elliot's narrator from The Big Lebowski and Sam Elliot's narrator from Ghost Rider are the same person!

So, The Dude exists in the same universe as Ghost Rider, and Sam Elliot's retired Rider likes hanging out with The Dude at a bowling alley.

Logic checks out. I'm on board.

Is it also the same Man Who Killed Hitler and Then the Bigfoot?

I considered that. I'm leaning toward no.

I’ve been having some ear problems. Besides some loss of hearing due to age, I have some pain in one ear from fluid due to allergies. I love music and podcasts and audiobooks but even low volume causes my ear to hurt.

Ear buds don’t bother me though. I think it might be time for some Bluetooth high quality ear cans.

What does it say about me when I gave up half way through Red Dead Redemption 2 because I found it boring and a chore to play yet am addicted to playing Death Stranding?

That you need a haircut.

So he can collect the hair clippings to make grenades out of because Kojima?

Oh, was that game by Kojima? I hadn't noticed.

I just invented a silly party game that I call LUBO.

Every player gets a small, simple LEGO project to build, but the pieces for it are floating in a bowl of lube. First player to complete their slippery project wins!

Is this a sex thing? It's definitely a sex thing. It can't be a sex thing. Probably not a sex thing.

It's a sex thing.

I mean, the lube is a sex thing. Lego though? That’s pretty niche.

That version isn't a sex thing. The version where the winner gets to insert whatever they built into the loser? That one is.

Eesh... it’s bad enough stepping on it, I can’t imagine getting it stuck somewhere internal o_O

My afternoon was greatly improved by the guy who runs Fort Bragg's Twitter account forgetting to log out of the work account before horny tweeting.

What a week for "things not to do at work," huh?

The system I use for work being down for maintenance all day means I can't work, and that I can't work this weekend either because the maintenance is expected to last until Sunday night. On the one hand, it means I can mostly take the day off (and "test" my new 27", 4K monitor), but on the other I'm losing some good billable hours that I won't be able to make up over the weekend.

Not a big deal, but still annoying.
