Loved that movie. It's too bad I could NOT get into the books at all.

Me too. I’d listen to Radiohead cover anything. In fact, I’m going to listen to Radiohead right now. Thanks for the idea.

You guys know about the weekly Radiohead concerts that they've been streaming for pandemic entertainment, right? 2pm (PST) on Thursdays, on Radiohead's Youtube.

Yeah they're great. I still want them to cover The Bard's Tale...

As a result, I am now watching the "Sharpe's" series from the BBC, which is some of the most Maximum Dad entertainment I've ever seen.

The Sharpe books are even better, except they are Penguin, and never ever come down in price (except for the first one). Sooooo expensive to get all of them. I used to buy them used as a result.

The “Master & Commander” books - called The Aubrey-Maturin series, are pretty great too. I’ve listened to most of them on audio and the narrator is fantastic.

Read all of them in the mid-90's (and the ones that followed). Love that series.

I appreciate this tweet for reminding me of one of my favorite games - Zooming in on any part of England (but especially Yorkshire) and just staring at all the names of places that are completely real and not made up. Like an old favorite of mine, Goosnargh.

EDIT: Oh! Have you been to West Camel? It's not far from Queen Camel. You should go, it's not a long drive from Norton-sub-Hamdon.

EDIT v2: Then head to Middle Wallop. It's just past Over Wallop, but if you see signs for Nether Wallop, you've gone too far.

I have made NONE of these up.

Do you prefer Upper Dicker or Lower Dicker?

Also, it's a crime that Over Wallop isn't closer to Shepton Mallet.

hey, Shepton Mallet is where my username is from : D

Well, if she is, I hope, for her sake, that she didn't suck his blood.

A single, loose breast from a Pride march today made it onto the air at my job and I am dying of laughter, watching the station suddenly go full-blown DEFCON 1 over it.

So, in a TRULY amazing update, one of our reporters did a story on thermal imaging cameras being used at schools to make sure students don't have COVID-19.

The problem is that our reporter, and apparently, no-one at my job realized that some thermal imaging cameras can see right through some clothes.

So basically, for a solid 5-8 seconds, as our reporter is demonstrating how the technology works, her dress is, shall we say, no longer providing appropriate covering, due to the technology.

What I find most amazing is that it's ABSURDLY obvious if you watch the video, and yet NO-ONE noticed for OVER 24 HOURS. We only took the video down today!

Exactly what kind of station do you work for?

At this point, I'm wondering if I'm secretly working for the Penthouse Channel.

PinkTV?

2020 is just badly written and badly acted.

It would be one thing if the writers jumped the shark, but they often line up a shark then forget about the shark that they added. This lead me from disappointment that they are jumping a shark to annoyance that the big twist was that the shark was clearly forgotten about or at best will be a deleted scene.

Did they set out to hire actors that failed out of the local elementary school play? I honesty don't remember a movie with so many one note actors who can't seem to remember their lines. Even if the actors are trying their hardest the script has made so many main characters so one note that they don't even need lines, they can just carry around a sign with their 2-3 character traits and get the same effect.

Don't get me started on plot holes and inconsistencies. While some actors are clearly trying to do their best with the script it seems so many items are being added into the script that they can't help but drop items and just confuse the message of the show and even the main plot.

This would be a zero from me but we do see some actors trying and this .5/10 is just for them. (Cesium out of Tungsten for our metric readers)

Skip this embarrassment and watch the final season of Game of Thrones again at half speed.

Registered for two and already did one of them! Virginia just gets better and better since the blue wave, although I think the COVID Reopening has been way too fast.

I've only watched a few minutes so far, but the comments seem to overwhelmingly agree that it's worth watching.

Actual video: Episode 1: Specter

(edit: and if that's not a random non-sequitur post I'd like to know what is)

My four-year old is watching YouTube videos of people dressed as super-heroes and other cartoon characters playing with their dogs.

This is a strange time indeed.

Just watch out for when the superheroes start talking to their dogs about how Jews control all of the media.

I was thinking the same thing. And no, that's not a joke. It's a thing.

Thanks for the warnings. I was watching with him, but only half watching.

Amazing. Bonkers. Incredible. One of the Youtube comments summed it up best:

Thanks for making me aware of its existence!

The number of times I've put bacon in a frying pan only to come back 10 minutes later to realize I never turned the stove on is embarrassing.

There’s other sh*tty things imbedded in “children’s” YouTube videos as well. Too many for me to go into detail. Caveat emptor.
