Missed last week's:
hmxsean wrote:Average White Band- “Pick Up the Pieces”
Earth Wind & Fire- “Shining Star”
James Brown- “Get Up (I Feel Like Being a) Sex Machine - Pt 1”
This is what made me happy. How could I have gone an entire week without getting down with my bad self?!?
...aaaaand, this week's will make many people happy:

I am pleased to announce that next week's DLC offering is Pearl Jam's Ten, making a full album alongside the track "Alive" which appears on the Rock Band 2 disc. We will be announcing next week's Wii offering on Monday.
YEESSS!!!!
I can't believe they chose "Use It" by the New Pornographers. It's just not fun to play.
Anyway, Ten is going to be awesome. Can't wait!
Big news! Via Jeff Gerstmann's twitter: "Just sang Dont Stop Belivin with Brad and the Harmonlx dudes. It's coming to RB2 soon!"
"Dont Stop Belivin"... It's coming to RB2 soon!"
He told us first, but here is the confirmation:
Hey gang!
Here's the DLC for the week of 3/31. Some great classic rock anthems, some sweet tracks from up and comers that played the Rock Band Showcase at SXSW, and some bubblegum fun songs to round out the week. Check it out!
Journey - Don't Stop Believing
Pat Benatar - Heartbreaker
Glasvegas - Geraldine
Von Bondies - C'mon C'mon
SpongeBob SquarePants - I Can't Keep My Eyes Off of You
SpongeBob SquarePants - The Best Day Ever
SpongeBob SquarePants - Where's Gary?
All songs are masters. The Journey, Pat Benatar, Glasvegas, and Von Bondies singles are $1.99 (160 Microsoft Points) per track. The SpongeBob SquarePants singles are $0.99 (80 Microsoft Points) a piece, or $2.99 (240 Microsoft Points) for the 3 song SpongeBob SquarePants Pack 01.
I see one must-buy, one very tempting (but in GHWT), and a bunch I don't know. I think that C'mon C'mon is the theme from Rescue Me.
As for Spongebob-- AWESOME!!!!
There, fixed that for ya.

This just made me really REALLY want the Southpark movie soundtrack for RB. Holy crap.
Aw crap, Wednesday is April Fool's Day. Looking at the titles again is making me wary that this list is not 100% accurate. I hope I'm wrong, cause I've wanted Don't Stop Believin' forever.
Oh hell yes, Glasvegas.
Now if we could just get some Mastodon . . .

These are much more appealing to ME personally than the usual crop... Journey, a must buy. Benetar... a maybe. You're right, that song by the Von Blondies *IS* the theme to Rescue Me, and it's a very fast-paced song. Another definite buy for me.
As for Spongebob-- weak.

That one strikes me as legit. Spongebob songpack is iffy, but they do have some Nick songs already.
If they don't have Journey, i'll be very hurt and upset.
Oh hell yes, Glasvegas.
Now if we could just get some Mastodon . . .
If you haven't heard their new album yet- Get it now.

First day buy. How couldn't I when it was only $10? Now if they'd just come back to town without Metallica.
Btw, the release of Ten yesterday has been the greatest dlc release for RB2 imho. That is until more Journey comes along.

I pre-ordered it for the lithograph + the CD/DVD and paid through the nose for it ($50), but I have no problem supporting them, especially after beholding the quality of this latest effort. I fell 15-20 years from now, my kids will "discover" Mastodon, and it'll be like when I first heard a Led Zeppelin song. They'll think they discovered no one else knows about and I can respond with "Mastodon? I was into them when I was your age!"
They'll be in Boulder on the 14th.
Glasvegas = so awesome. Not my favorite song, but second favorite is a good compromise. I'm working on my Scottish accent in preparation.
I was so excited to see Pearl Jam's Ten on the Rock Band store that I immediately downloaded and did an impromptu play through with my boyfriend last night. Ah... took me back to my junior high days, that did...
Damn you Harmonix - I'll be broke and destitute at the rate that I keep wasting my money on downloadable content.
Now if only they'd release the whole "All Hands on the Bad One" album from Sleater-Kinney.

Yup, missed that. I scanned the tour page looking for "CO", which it doesn't list for the gig at the Fox. Hmmm, looking at ticket prices now. Thanks!

I love the ticket prices for new bands! I could buy 5-6 tickets to Mastodon for what I paid to see Rush or Yes.
Posting because it made me laugh.

Then again, I may have to purchase just for the entertainment factor of having them show up in Mystery setlists.
Hey, I like Toby Keith. Granted, there are songs that I'd rather see in that pack, but I'll still probably buy it.
I love Should've Been A Cowboy, but I fail to see how it could be entertaining on the guitar. It's three chords and not much else.

Just like the Ramones?
I don't see much call for country. I picked up the Lucinda Williams track and was pretty unimpressed. The sad thing is, she has quite a few songs that would have been a blast, but they picked a pretty radio friendly number, Can't Let Go.
How that got picked when Honey Bee is on her latest release, is beyond me.

"I Wanna Be Sedated" was a blast when Guitar Hero first came out. Now? Not so much.

This argument holds little water with me, there are plenty of three chord bands out there.
Don't Stop Believin is surprisingly awesome on Expert Drums. I was enveloped in joy.
