Whoo! White Zombie!
Hey, there's ammo over here! Francis, patch yourself up.....
what?
Damn, wrong zombies...
Wow, Turbonegro? A band I never thought I'd see in videogames, nice. Might check it out...
I might not have seen an announcement about this anywhere...I swear I am not skimming it is just that there is so many posts related to this game platform. Has anyone heard if Green Day will ever be in Rock Band? I cannot believe that band has not been approached for their many songs.
Additionally, TMBG and not a mention of "Ana Ang", "Birdhouse", or the song that would kick more ass than any other, "Doctor Worm"? For shame.
I'm thinking they actually never got Texas Flood.
They never really got Nevermind or that The Who album who's name slips my mind. They're having a hard time keeping those Full Album promises. I've vowed not to spend money on RB2 until Texas Flood is out.

Actual Full Albums are pretty hard to get it would seem. However, The Best of The Who rocked pretty hard, and they're missing what, one song from Nevermind? Pretty nitpicky if you ask me.
As for the alt-country stuff, I like country so I might check those out.
...they're missing what, one song from Nevermind? Pretty nitpicky if you ask me.
well, it just happens to be the biggest hit and best song off the album, so I don't think it's being too picky

Having owned Nevermind in every format but Vinyl, I don't miss 'Smells like Teen Spirit' one bit.

well, we'll just have to disagree on that. I'd buy that song in a heartbeat. Don't much care for most of the rest of it.

I suppose. I lived in Seattle when they released the album, so I heard the song done to death and can't stand it any more. In Bloom, Territorrial Pissings, Stay Away, On a Plain are all much better songs all around IMO.

Stevie Ray Vaughn's Texas Flood album as DLC. Weren't we just complaining about the lack of full albums?

This one specifically Sold
I think Im most interested in trying out Lenny. Its about an eight minute instrumental that will be boring as hell on bass and drums but should be both fun and challenging on guitar.
Can these be played in both RB1 and 2? I dont have 2.
Late adapter to Rock Band 2 and its DownLoadable Crack, I was thrilled yesterday when I scrolled through the tracks for DL to find The Fratellis — my favorite new band in a long, long time. Now if they'd just get some Elbow up on there, and some old Genesis, and I'd be in heaven.
Question: am I right in figuring that I can rent/borrow RB1, use a cheat to unlock all the songs and then it's just $5 to transfer them all to my hard drive for use in RB2?
So any reviews on Texas Flood yet?

Yep, all the DLC works fine in either game.

I don't think you need to unlock the songs at all -- just get the disc through whatever means suits you best, throw it in, use the export option, pay the money, and you're done.

What he said. I borrowed a copy of RB1 from a student. Worked beautifully, although it DOES take up about 2GBs worth of space on your hard drive.
Texas Flood is pretty damned good. Some of the tracks flow better than others, Dirty Pool is not much fun on guitar but the rest, especially Texas Flood itself is a ton of fun.
I'm especially partial to Mary Had a Little Lamb.

I don't mind giving up the space for all that free goodness.

Texas Flood is pretty damned good.
This is true... Texas Flood was one of my favorite tunes to play in the original Guitar Hero, so to have it reincarnated here is awesome. I was pleased to discover that my hands seem to remember playing this tune countless times before, so I think there was some type of muscle memory kicking in this morning when I played it. Regardless, it's as good (and fun) as I remember it.
I will forever be heartbroken that I had tickets to SRV's final show in Alpine Valley before the plane crash but I wasn't able to go.
On topic, just a terrific DLC set from Texas Flood.

Oh, that's right. It's $5. Forget it, then.
Great, Texas Flood is finally out? : O

If you're talking PG-era Genesis, I'm right there with you. I want to be Phil Collins the highly skilled drummer, not the iconoclastic frontman.

It was the same for my High School librarian. Wasn't it a helicopter crash though?
Not a SRV fan, but it's good to see more full albums.
Anyone looking for RB1 on the cheap, head on over to Gamestop (US) this week-- $14.99 for a used copy (both 360 and PS3).
