So, there was recently a short article written by an anti-McCain journalist, detailing why criticisms of McCain's war record aren't really fair. He basically just said that while being a war hero doesn't qualify you to be president, running for president also shouldn't negate your past heroism. He details why he thinks McCain's reputation is not overblown. Here is that article.
So, now he's posted the follow up to this, comprised of the and emails he's received as a result of that writing. Here that is.
I don't know. I'm not sure who is the more insane, these days. On the one hand, McCain has the crazy Bible-thumping crowd, who think of Obama as a Muslim terrorist atheist demonseed. On the other hand, there's the ultra-lefty p*ssy crowd, who think of McCain as the face of gay-stomping, child-murdering, military-industrial-complex-protecting white male patriachs. I can't decide who's more annoying.
E. All of the above are correct.
What's that line? I'm not racist, I hate everyone equally? Think of that applied to politics, and you have your answer.
The wingnuts on either side need to be kicked in the junk over and over. However, most of the moderates in the middle are quite nice. It's just the loudmouths that get the attention. I think if both sides told the nucking futs part of the parties to sit down and shut up, we'd be much better off.
It's like looking at a mobius strip of hypocrisy, really.
I honestly think that the extreme left can be much more extreme in that they are more likely to put action behind their rhetoric.
The extreme right, however vilifies average people whereas the left vilifies giant corporations and their oversights.

Eh, Timothy McVeigh and Eric Rudolph v. the ELF and Mr. Ayres. Crazy violence cuts both ways.
I love America more than any other country in the world, and, exactly for this reason, I insist on the right to criticize her perpetually.
Watch me learn to draw.
Hey if the extreme left has to take ownership of ELF then the extreme right needs to take ownership of the aryan brotherhood. =)

neither of whom were in the aryan brotherhood.....
[EDIT] relationships made in prison don't count.
It's almost funny how the old saying "Too much of anything is bad" applies so universally. Food, political viewpoints, sex... well ok, maybe not that last one... but it'll make you blind!
It's been said that if you go far enough left or right, you end up in the same place.
Yup. It's a circle, not a line. The far extremes share much more in common with each other than they do the middle.
Ima going to go to shalam baskey now
Cleveland?
I don't see the purpose of this discussion. When you're talking fanatical, offensive, crazy people it doesn't matter their political affiliation. They're fanatical, offensive, and crazy.
NOTE: Not a doodle bug.
That why the Chinese are Fascist not Communists. It is the circle of life

Both sides have idiots that are pretty fanatical. I get fanatical about idiots.
I am so going to quote that out of context.
Extremism on either side is disgusting and dangerous.

Not really a healthy topic.
