Me too. Guess I'll be running my trio of rooks out there if he's down. At least their names happen to be Forte, Slaton, and McFadden. Its also nice to have Torry Holt as a Flex option... Still. Losing the Barbarian hurts.
GWJFFL
06 Minaseans (5-7) 22.5
07 Grumps Chumps (5-7) 16.5
08 trowans BrownStains (4-8) 15.5 - East Division Contender (trowan plays Leap; loser stays home)
09 Leaps Peeps (4-8) 10.5 - East Division Contender (trowan plays Leap; loser stays home)
Wouldn't the final spot be decided between: Minaseans and Grumps Chumps?
If either of those 2 win this week, they will have a better record (@ 6-7) than the winner of the two 'contenders' listed (@ 5-8).
No. Trowan and Leap are playing for the NFC We... I mean East Division championship.
lol.
Oh I see it... At least the NFC West has one team with a winning record.
Yikes! Two 4-8 teams fighting for a division championship.
RB Marion Barber has a dislocated pinkie toe on his right foot. There is no fracture.
[He's] considered day-to-day at this point...
Whew!
Just chop it off!
I won! Unfortunately Trowan did too, so next week in the titanic struggle of 4-8 teams, the Peeps vs the Brownstains decides who is going to the playoffs!
And the Peeps are in the playoffs! Woohoo! Even at 5-8, not a bad result with two of my top three picks being injured for much/all of the season (Brady and McGahee).
My season may be a bust (*2) but I can still get that moral victory (with some help from Steve Slaton) by going 2-0 against my favorite rival, the 9th Ward Boyz.
I'm really surprised that my team is even in this week's game. You canceled out almost all Warner's points by playing Breaston... Well played. And, Thomas Jones KILLED IT again this week.
Damn you Ryan Grant; you got me again! I started to believe, and you pulled the rug out from under me. Never again, Ryan!!
And, I left a TON of points on the bench this week - ~35pts. Are there any extra points for the highest scoring bench?
So, Garrard and A. Johnson less than 5 points?
It could happen right?
Choo-choo! On the playoff train!

When Slaton had only 4 points in the first half and I was still winning, I thought there might be a chance for the 9th Ward Boyz, but... DAMN.
He scored 28 points in the second half.
Congrats on the win.
Heck, lost by less then a point. Damn you Plaxico, making me play a scrub the last few weeks and the rest of the season!
I guess this is a good week for Jay Cutler and the boys to be playing KC and the Sunshine Band. So.... am I playing the mightly Peeps or the Legion? How does this work?

You get the Peeps. The breakdown of games is here:

I got DeAngelo Williamsed :)
And Thomas Jonesed, and Jason Wittened, ...
Hell of a Tarrant County showdown, though.

Yeah, but I expect Thomas Jones and Jason Witten... wasn't expecting THAT kind of day from DeAngelo.
But I guess the point is -- what could I have done if I were expecting it?
As a funny side note, in my other league, my drafted running backs were: Clinton Portis, Steve Slaton, Marshawn Lynch, Thomas Jones, Matt Forte. I've already traded away both Portis and Jones. I was pretty pissed with Jones early in the season, but he's been nothing but beastly now that Mangini has figured out that Brett Farve doesn't have to throw 800 times a game and 3 times when on the opponent's 1 yard line. I figured Portis would wind up hurt.
I did the same thing with Jones in my money league. I'm still pissed about it.

Well, I'm not soooo pissed about it, considering I kicked the guy's butt whom I traded Jones over to. However, he and I are vying for the last playoff spot this week. He's one game ahead, but if he loses (very real possibility) and I win (very real possibility) then we tie in standings (we both have a tie duing the season to different people) our tie-breaker would fall to division record, which I would have a one-tie better record than he would. Crazy stuff every year.
Woot! First round win. Grr!
Good game OMD. Way to boot me from the playoffs again this year. Last year was pretty rough when Westbrook decided to stop on the 1 when I still had he, Romo, and TO playing in the game FTW. Guh. This year just wasn't close.

I will do my best to proudly represent our great state.
I'm heading up to Dan Kelly's tomorrow to watch the draft, play a little Rock Band, and generally hang out. Any of you metroplex folks want to stop by?
You better bring your drums, if we're gonna have a full band.
