Political Compass: On What Point of the Graph Do You Suck the Most?

While not the most foolproof tool for pinpointing a person's political identity, it should give an idea of where each of us is at. If you can, please post the image link of your results. Also, address whether or not you feel as though it accurately describes your political leanings.

As for myself, I consider it a fair judge of my political leanings; however, a few of the questions, notably the one about publicly financed museums, really needed more extensive answers. In that particular case, I would measure such an institution with a cost/benefit analysis. If it is able to provide a benefit to the public that is not measured monetarily, but still equal in measure in its impact, then I would support it. In most occasions, I am doggedly against any institution that cannot support itself.

I agree that some of the questions are loaded in such a way that I really wanted to give different answers. A few of them are of the form "I don't want public money going to it, but I don't disagree with people's right to choose such things on their own."

I know they got to some of that stuff in other questions, but more than once I wanted to say "wait -- I can't really answer!"

Yeah, on a few of them, you really have to just approximate your desires as much as possible.

Mine came out pretty much where I expected: in the realm of the lib-dem.

I am more libertarian than you are, fascist!

Yeah, well I have... uh... better hair. Maybe.

We are both sitting next to Gandhi and the Dalai Lama, though.

Billy: I wanna be an achiever... like Bad Horse.

Penny: The thoroughbred of sin?

Billy: (pause) I mean Ghandi.

I must admit, the thread title confuses me.

Also, there's not even a link in the OP.

Oh, I completely forgot about that while I was writing something out..

If economic globalisation is inevitable, it should primarily serve humanity rather than the interests of trans-national corporations.

Damn, these questions aren't loaded or anything...

I'm pretty comfortable with where this has placed me.

While the questions were loaded, it wasn't a lot different than when I took the Minnesota test years ago. Now there were some crazy questions. My understanding is that it is measuring what you are comfortable answering more than getting to the truth. I have no idea if this particular test is valid, or worse, it it may be designed to get certain results which will then alter you actions. Is there stuff to buy?

Hmmm... I've migrated. I used to be spot on with Ghandi.

I also remember the test being a bit more comprehensive. My far left result I attribute to the fact that the overwhelming majority of the economical questions were focused on supercorporations, which I find very dangerous to our civilization for a number of reasons.

Ugh, there needs to be a "No opinion" option.

In any case:

Not really surprised.

Some of those questions were 'a bit' 1) silly 2) biased 3) lacking a 'no opinion' and generally just questions you cant simply answer by agree/disagree.

Can't say as I've changed much since I last took this. But then so much depends on whether I agree/disagree or strongly agree/disagree that it gets a bit iffy.

I'm in almost the exact same spot as the rest of you. Kind of weird huh?

Pretty much where I thought it would be but I wish there had been a "Neutral" response. Some of my answers were difficult to rate as agree or disagree.

This result was not particularly shocking to me.,,

Ya bunch of dirty hippies.

Yeah, some of those questions are impossibly simplified.

I'm shocked, I say, shocked!

Seems about right, but it definitely skews left/libertarian.

You hippie commie beatnik.

Filthy hippies, all of you. :p

Bull's Eye! I have no idea if this is accurate or not.

They have me pretty far right, based on my pro-life stands, I believe.

Basically, I want to be left alone. The problem is that while political parties are happy to oblige the government isn't.

Hrm. Not as far down socially as I thought I would be.
