emo spiderman looks like Peter Petrelli

and I'll tell you one thing, the camel spider pics/stories are nothing compared to video. Prolly needs a creepy warning even in this thread.

found it roaming from camelspiders.net

When I was in Australia I booked a room in a hostel in a remote outback town. The guy running the place kindly picked me up from the station. As we drove back to the hostel in his cool muscle car he told me how he'd acquired it. Apparently he'd found it in a farmers barn and the farmer had said he could have it if he cleaned it out and fixed it up. When he investigated the insides of the car he found it was home to several black widow spiders. "Oh really," I said, tucking my feet up onto the passenger seat, "very interesting."

You know what the best part of this thread is? It'll teach people to stop looking at my screen as they walk past my desk.

Ha, my girlfriend say this one and said, "definitely don't plug that hole."

Tell her you're gonna man up and dig in.

I'll go to my happy place

Last weekend was my fiancée’s birthday. We went up to my family's cottage for a smallish party, have some barbequed chicken, some cake. Then she looks up and see's a rather large (by Maine standards) spider that had been busy building his web about two feet directly above where she's sitting. We couldn't get a decent picture of that spider, but we did get a good picture of his sibling. (The cottage has these all over the outside of it, usually in the overhanging part of the roof. We don't mind them out there; we just don't like them when they get inside.

Not terribly scary, only two, maybe three inches long, leg-to-leg, but she likes spiders as much as OG, so she freaked out.
-Edit- Here's a better picture (from someone else)IMAGE(http://www.jorgenlissner.dk/images%5CPictures%5CTheridion_impressum_hun_2168.jpg)
I suppose one of the reasons I'm fairly comfortable around spiders is that at the cottage growing up, we used to have dock that stayed in year round, so we'd get quite a few of these living in it:

We have had a dock we remove every year for the past 7 or 8 years though, so any dock spiders that take up residence have their home wrecked before they get a chance to get that big.

Fixed.

Clocks attract spiders.

At this stage, what we need is something that repels spiders.

No fatties.

That is all.

Bees.

Bees ...that could work... and if they didn't I'm betting Nicholas Cage would.

It's not fat, it's abdominally challenged.

You, sir, must not have spent much time around docks. Our dock used to have about 4-5 spiders the size of the one pictured living in it, and several more younger & smaller ones. Plus, they can glide on the water and even go underwater!

oh wow...that would totally creep me out.

Ok that freaks me out, attack sub spiders.

They can launch spiders at any point on the face of the earth within 24 hours.

Somebody either needs to toss a grenade in that water hole or push a car into it, depending on what game this is.

Could there be one in your home ?

Damn, I nearly made a joke about hoping folks checked their kit when returning from Iraq. Looks like I'm too late.

My parent's Black Labrador used to eat spiders when she spotted them running across the floor. Not sure even she would have tackled a camel spider...

Another digital spider. You can feed this one insects.

Wow that's excellent.... and very creepy.

IMAGE(http://www.idahohotsprings.com/images/blog/red_spider_mite.jpg)

tiny red spider mites! So small you can hardly see them, they are found around springs, so after you swim they stick to you, then after you dry off the bite the crap out of you while they lay eggs in your skin!!!

Well...
I knew I was going to shudder and wince at some of these pictures
But I didn't expect the pictures to be that freakin' huge!

I almost peed myself!
[Scratch that, I think I might have actually tinkled a little..]
Now I'm going to constantly be scanning my surroundings
And I shall never sleep again
-_-
